We have visited Istanbul in October, and stayed in Istanbul Holiday Hotel. The economic rooms are really small, but the others are fine. We reserved the economic one, but weren't satisfied with the sizes. Special thanks to receptionist Islam, who quickly solved our problem, and made our stay very pleasant.

I stayed there for 2 days during my trip to Istanbul. The staff was fantastic! especially, the guy in reception, Islam. He was very helpful, guiding and supportive. My gratitudes to him. Rooms were spacious and clean. Hotel's location is also within walking distance of Istanbul's main sights, like Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar.

I was interested to visit Turkey just to see places like Blue Mosque, Topkapi and of course Spice Bazaar. Literally, hotel located in 50 meters from Blue Mosque. Before i heard that turkish people in bazaars can easily fool you, so i decided to ask the guy in reception (his name is Islam) for help. The guy was very helpful... More

Hotel is located just 5 minutes walking distance from major tourist attractions near Sultanahmet. Rooms are small, but very neat and clean. Breakfast is very nice and it certainly worth the money. Special thanks to both the friendly receptionists, Islam and Barish for providing excellent service and great tips for roaming around Istanbul.

We had very good service from front desk person Islam Karinov who arranged our transport to and from the airport. He also advised us on trips and gave us a few tips to remember when eating out. The hotel is situated well and we could walk to most places we wanted to visit. Laundry service next door.

The hotel is small in every aspect. For the first night, I arrived late, I was transferred to the hotel next door. The staff was very sorry about it, but these things happen. Everything was sorted out nicely. All an all, Holiday Hotel, when I got my room, turned out to be a nice little establishment. Only thing I was... More

We arrived to Istanbul after the long-distance driving from Capadokia. The hotel we have booked informed us about the "problem" with our accommodation and we came to the city centre without any ideas about staying. After the long searching only Istanbul Holiday Hotel proposed us economy accommodation of enough good quality. Thanks a lot to Islam, who was very kind... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
