Very centrally located, right on the tram line that takes you to the sights. The rooms are well equipped and are cleaned daily and there are fresh sheets. The cleanliness of the saloon is also exceptional. The staff are very friendly.

Well i don't know where to begin. The hotel is good in some fields , for example the rooms are good and comfortable and the breakfast is some how rich . however , the worst thing is that the staff are really unfriendly and rude ! My friends and i used to sit in the lobby at night and the man at the reception used to turn off the lights. Not to mention that there is no gym. we asked the receptionist about this point he told us that the owner closed it.

First the plusses- Compared to hotel rooms in the old city, the rooms were large - plenty of room to deal with suitcases. There was a tub, not just a shower, in the bathroom. Beds were comfortable, room was very clean. Our room was very quiet, except for the usual guest noises. The staff were courteous. The location was very close to a tram stop, but a long walking distance from the old town grand bazaar. There is a local bazaar across the street on Fridays.
Now the minuses- breakfast buffet was okay, but large tour groups took over the dining area, and one morning they weren't able to keep up with demand and ran out of many items. The worst thing was that the air conditioning in our room went off after the first day, and when we requested that it be fixed, we were told that they don't turn it on until June! Our second night was the room was very warm and sleeping made difficult because there was only a duvet quilt (no top sheet) on the bed. I took a point off my rating for this.

I was at this hotel from 22 june for 5 nights with my family.I do not suggest anyone this hotel. At first two rooms were given to us,It was located somewhat apart from the hotel's main building.Small rooms, with bad smell that Internet was not connected too. After my protest, rooms changed and they gave us rooms in the main building.
The new rooms were better, but the ventilation system did not work properly. After a day, the ventilation room broke down and changed our room again. For one day, the hotel's air-conditioning system was discontinued due to repairs.
This hotel has just a beautiful lobby and its buildings and accessories are old.
I used to be with the same price at the Hotel all season,Near this hotel.all season was very good.Do not go to this hotel

The room was clean and good sized. The staff was helpful. The breakfast was good. Good location. Easy to get taxi and tram and walk. There was a weekday market across the street. Close to ATMs. Lots of coffee shops and cafes in the area.

Not a hotel for 60 euro/ night. I stayed at first floor

Good location with a convenient public connection with the airport and within walking distance to major tourist attractions, stores and restaurants.
Clean room, very pleasant bathroom, comfortable bed with good quality bedding.
Air condition was not working in my room, but frankly at the time period of my stay an open window was much better solution anyway.
Since the hotel is located at the corner of major street a traffic noise could be a bather in the early morning but so is the air conditioner noise…
One of the hundreds hotels you could stay in. As much as the room is concern there was no highs and no lows. Good average standard..
I really couldn’t find much to criticize and I was quite OK with the hotel choice until the morning.
Breakfast restaurant between the times of opening at 7:00 to about 8:00 is a regular battlefield. Crowded with guest rushing to make their tours scheduled for the morning hours.
No sufficient numbers of tables to accommodate everybody. One of the least efficient arrangements of the buffet I've ever seen. Single and rather slow working coffee machine placed in the corner of the food table and never ending line up of people waiting to get a coffee, successfully blocking the access to the food arranged on the same table top. Moving around in this area was nothing pleasant to experience and down right dangerous. Anyone can end up very easily which a content of somebody’s plate on your clothes. Just painfully overcrowded.
Since table spacing is a problem, don’t be surprised when coming back to your seat after your hunting expedition for food and coffee, your table will be cleared and somebody else will be seating at your spot and all before you'll be able to finish your breakfast.
Very disappointing experience, provided that it is a super easy, very needed and at the same time super neglected fix. Management just needs to rearrange placement of the coffee machine as it contributes to the chaos far too much of a great deal.. A second coffee machine in accessible place would be even more perfect solution too.
Very sad as this breakfast mayhem can effectively set you in a foul mood for the rest of the day. Really nobody expects anything like that from the hotel breakfast service.
Having sad so, I can’t even comment on the food quality, as with the conditions provided, it was really hard to enjoy it and appreciate it at all. If the food was tasty or not really lost its relevance in consequences to the overcrowded disaster. I could only recognize a waste selection of cheeses which was a nice surprise. I can’t say though if I enjoy it at all, as I was preoccupied with holding my grounds and being frustrated with the waste of time in line ups.
Would I be back? I think I will not lose anything if I will try alternative options on my next visit to the city.
Most definitely nothing makes me specially committed to Grand Anka Hotel.
