This is my 5th visit to Istanbul so we decided to visit a few different places outside the city. This is a 15 minute taxi ride from Sultanahmet past the Ciragan Palce Hotel. We stayed one night here August 1 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in this peaceful suburb. The hotel, small but very well appointed,is right on the Bosphorus. We... More

This hotel was fantastic. The rooms were really spacious and in a great location. Bebek is a great area with all the activities close by. The bathroom was really big as well. The staff was very friendly. I think the only problem was that very few people spoke English. But even if they didn't, they tried to understand your problem... More

I stayed 3 nights with my wife and 2 sons (19 and 17). I cannot say enough about the location, staff and service we received. The location is very good for those who dont want to live in the middle of the city. It has an exclusive feel to the whole experience. Please make sure and avoid the street side... More

I was traveling with another colleague to Turkey for work and this was recommended by my colleague in Istanbul since it's our first time in this city and had no idea what is a good place to stay. The reason she recommended this hotel for us was because it was close to her home and it did have an old... More

I have been to Bebek Hotel several times but the last one was worth mentioning. I've made the reservation for June 26-28 in March and they told me that the reservation for room no. 405 was made. Since the rooms with street view were too noisy I first asked for a sea view room.Since all the sea view rooms were... More

Hotel Bebek is North of Istanbul, in a peaceful, high-end village along the Bosphorous. The rooms are gorgeous, from the fluffy premium bedding even down to the writing desk, and the bathroom is fit for a Queen. You'll have lots of lots of space. As most breakfasts in Turkey, this one is legendary, with dried fruits, yoghurts, cheeses, teas and... More

The location on the Bosphorus is excellent. Do book a room on the water it is worth the extra money. I love the little town of Bebek, and found plenty of buses to town. They run constantly and are very cheap. Plenty of restaurants around and little markets. Skip Poseidon, it is overpriced, stuffy and not worth it. The breakfast... More

It's a very nice boutique hotel in the very expensive and poopular residential area of Bebek. The Hotel's rooms are very large, rather suites then simple rooms and very nicely decorated. Avoid the rooms by the street side of the hotel. I almost couldn't sleep the first night because of the street noise. If you don't mind staying far from... More

My family and I recently returned from a trip to Istanbul, in which we stayed at the Bebek Hotel. It's a very nice place overall and the small town of Bebek is charming. ( the Chinese restaurant across the street is great as are the local bakeries and fruit shops-but skip the "Poseidon" restaurant down the block. Overpriced and dreadful)... More

Staying in Besiktas

Neighborhood Profile
Besiktas
In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighborhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.
