We have booked a room for our anniversary. After dinner we notice a very bad, foul smell in the room and have informed reception. They said the room needs maintenance and will be done after our departure ( excuse me????) I asked them to take care of it, it was late and we had to look for an emergency pharmacy. When we were back they said they have taken care of it and once we entered the room in the late night which was a very tiny room already it was full of room odor, it was impossible to breath even. That was how they have managed it. We went back down to reception and told them a humwn being cannot survive the night in the room due to chemical shock of the room sprey. They were so kind and changed the room, tired and exhausted on a special night where you pay such a high rate, we had to put all our stuff back pack and change room. The other room had not the same view at all. When we were checking out no apologies and they even asked us to pay for thr herbal tea and coffee we had during the night of transition. When I speaked up how bad tje management style, the service and the nightmare we had was, the receptionist said you are right we wont charge you for the 50 lira, it is on us 😂😂 Worst experience ever and no compensation at all, such a cheap service unfortunately.…
I was here to celebrate my friend’s wedding party. The party was amazing, the place, the food, the room the view of sea , everything So nice. Amazing . The hotel staffs are very kind and treat guests friendly. One night is this hotel is such one night in paradise.
We had an amazing anniversary at the hotel. We booked the room with the balcony. It was an amazing experience. We had the dinner at our balcony, and stayed up late enjoying the beautiful Bosphorus. We were a bit shocked when we could not take a hot bath, since there was a problem with the heating system. It was a poor management issue, but could not ruin our experience
I was joining to a dinner in the restaurant of Ajia Hotel. I was stopped at the entrance by hotel’s general manager and was asked many questions to go in. I was treated like a liar who tries to sneak in the hotel. Be ready for such a treatment if you stay in this hotel
I spent a rainy 24 hours in the hotel, which was an exciting experience since it was a Sunday lockdown in Istanbul and Beykoz neighborhood was much more beautiful with less traffic and no fishermen. The hotel is absolutely unique in the area and just on the edge of the water with amazing views of the European side, quiet and cozy. The staff are super nice especially Izge, the front desk girl, with a very good command of English ( despite the generally weak English in Turkey), warm and welcoming; However, it seems that it’s been ages since the hotel was last refurbished. Rooms need serious and immediate restoration. The air conditioning did not work properly and the best terrace suite where I stayed did not have a shower but just a tub. By and large, it’s surly worth visiting once.…
We were upgraded to the top floor (thank you!). No matter the cost, just book it! There is a fabulous view, sunset wine on the patio, quiet, beautiful room. There is a good (short) run from the hotel with good views of the bridge and Bosphorus.
It was amazing time which we spend in Ajia hotel. Atmosphere was great, kind personell which helped with every our needs and thank you for that. Safe and clean . All was great. For next time we decided to be back to this hotel.
We spent four glorious days in what must surely be one of the best placed hotels in the world. Beautiful rooms and a fantastically helpful staff who really cooperated with one another in making things perfect. Metred taxis provided very economical travel as required.
The place is a small(16 rooms) jewel situated in the Asian side of the city. It has a great location on the Bosphuros. Rooms are big, clean with lots of amenities and with great views of the European side of Istanbul. But the most amazing asset is the personal and extraordinary services. Starting with our great front desk manager, Levent Bey, who took care of all reservations including sea taxis, tours, local restaurants, best times to visit local historic places, etc. In the restaurant, Shain and Georsch- I hope those are close to the right spelling - provided super services and were always attentive to our requests. In few words, the place is a most if you go to Istanbul.
Istanbul is a place where you look for authentic atmosphere. Being settled on the bank of Bosporus Asian side this hotel is a perfect match. This used to be a house of Ahmed Rasim Pasha and its very specific in its originality. All rooms are different, staff is very helpful and demonstrates the best of Turkish hospitality. Breakfast is superb - all food is very fresh and high quality. And you can enjoy it on the terrace watching ferries and boats passing by. Recommended for weekend breaks.
