We came from the UK for a wedding reception. It was exceptional. The setting, the food and the hotel facilities. We did not stay but as a wedding venue it was faultless. It is a bit out of the way with nothing around it but for a wedding perfect. You will need the hotel to call you a taxi to leave !

Well worth a stay to see the other Istanbul (the many museums and sights/sites on the Bosporus) but be prepared to take the bus boat or the taxi boat if the city's old centre is the goal of the visit (we have adored the time on the water). A swimming pool, a lounge bar corner and variation in the breakfast were missing. Deserts are delicious. Do explore the restaurants around the hotel or on the other side of the Bosporus if you're there for a longer stay. The hotel proposes a sightseeing boat trip that is very expensive for what it offers in exchange.

Fantastic location with stunning views of the Bosphorus. We were delighted with our balcony room and the spacious, immaculate bathroom. The daily Turkish breakfast right next to the waters of the strait was excellent and featured the famous local yoghurt from Kanlica. We tried the hotel restaurant once and were impressed with the kofte. Lots of great and affordable food is available nearby within a short walk. Do note that yachts going by can blare noisy music in the evenings but the mood otherwise is idyllic and the service excellent. The hotel arranged a very professional and honest taxi driver to take us to airport.

We have booked a room for our anniversary. After dinner we notice a very bad, foul smell in the room and have informed reception. They said the room needs maintenance and will be done after our departure ( excuse me????) I asked them to take care of it, it was late and we had to look for an emergency pharmacy. When we were back they said they have taken care of it and once we entered the room in the late night which was a very tiny room already it was full of room odor, it was impossible to breath even. That was how they have managed it. We went back down to reception and told them a humwn being cannot survive the night in the room due to chemical shock of the room sprey. They were so kind and changed the room, tired and exhausted on a special night where you pay such a high rate, we had to put all our stuff back pack and change room. The other room had not the same view at all. When we were checking out no apologies and they even asked us to pay for thr herbal tea and coffee we had during the night of transition. When I speaked up how bad tje management style, the service and the nightmare we had was, the receptionist said you are right we wont charge you for the 50 lira, it is on us 😂😂 Worst experience ever and no compensation at all, such a cheap service unfortunately.

We had an amazing anniversary at the hotel. We booked the room with the balcony. It was an amazing experience. We had the dinner at our balcony, and stayed up late enjoying the beautiful Bosphorus. We were a bit shocked when we could not take a hot bath, since there was a problem with the heating system. It was a poor management issue, but could not ruin our experience

I was joining to a dinner in the restaurant of Ajia Hotel. I was stopped at the entrance by hotel’s general manager and was asked many questions to go in. I was treated like a liar who tries to sneak in the hotel. Be ready for such a treatment if you stay in this hotel

Dear Guest ; Thank you for choosing A'jia restaurant. We appreciate every single comment you made.We would like to clarify the issue based on your comment and the low score you have given.Reservation inquiries are made at the entrances in fine dining restaurants like us.We request Hes code(Code showing the person's Covid-19 risk status) from our guests at restaurant entrance due to the pandemic period. Our hotel manager, who was there to support our restaurant team, welcomed you when you entered our restaurant.Since you tried to enter the restaurant directly without saying anything,he asked if he could help you and if you had a reservation. We think you were disturbed with this procedure and questioning.Because you brought the issue to different points in the continuation of the dialogue. It is our mission to welcoming our guests who come to our hotel for both accommodation and restaurant, and to question their reservations and Hes codes. This is not a special application for you. Kind Regards

I spent a rainy 24 hours in the hotel, which was an exciting experience since it was a Sunday lockdown in Istanbul and Beykoz neighborhood was much more beautiful with less traffic and no fishermen. The hotel is absolutely unique in the area and just on the edge of the water with amazing views of the European side, quiet and cozy. The staff are super nice especially Izge, the front desk girl, with a very good command of English ( despite the generally weak English in Turkey), warm and welcoming; However, it seems that it’s been ages since the hotel was last refurbished. Rooms need serious and immediate restoration. The air conditioning did not work properly and the best terrace suite where I stayed did not have a shower but just a tub. By and large, it’s surly worth visiting once.

We were upgraded to the top floor (thank you!). No matter the cost, just book it! There is a fabulous view, sunset wine on the patio, quiet, beautiful room. There is a good (short) run from the hotel with good views of the bridge and Bosphorus.
