I used this hotel as part of a tour through Gate1 Travel. The hotel location is close to all the main attractions in Turkey. The subway station was within walk in distance. Istanbul is a city easy to navigate. Hotel is next to a mosque so the call of prayer was quite interesting. Management was great with an issue my...

Had a one night stay here on the way to a cruise. This was booked through the trip company. The room is smallish but very nice. The reception is helpful and friendly. Booked a massage for hour and half later. Was able to pay to for it later. The location is good. Close to the grand bazaar. Just take the...

What you see on the pictures is not what you get. If you think that the hamman is old and stylish as in the pictures, you are wrong!!! Nothing can be charged to the room. Everything is chash based. My no smoking room, smelled awfully.

Despite some initial teething difficulties with lack of response to e-mails and phone calls we very much enjoyed our stay here 4 Nights in a great bustling location and a 10 minute tram ride from the typical tourist spots.

We stayed in the Grand Hotel Gulsoy several days before and after a tour of Turkey. Pros: Comfortable, nice sized rooms with lots of windows and very adequate bathroom. Good service with very accommodating staff. Little café/patisserie next to the lobby. Near Valens Roman Aqueduct. Cons: location is west of all the main attractions and not really walkable. Tram station...

The Gulsoy is very comfortable, well kept up, and handy to tram public transportation. The hotel has 2 pools, one on the roof and one inside in the spa area. Inside rooms are quiet and windows open into a small, but nicely maintained courtyard. Windows are double glass to minimize outside noise. The morning breakfast buffet is extensive and excellent....

My wife and I stayed at the Grand Hotel Gulsoy in Istanbul in April 2104. We weren't looking for anything luxurious since were weren't planning on being in the room a lot. So if it's a high end hotel you're seeking, don't go here. If you're looking for a hassle free transfer to the hotel from the airport, give this...

The staff were nice, the rooms were more than adequate. If you get a room on the front, it can be a bit on the loud side, but you trade the noise for a great view of the mosque across the street and you can enjoy all the street activity. The widows open for fresh air, but block the outside...

It is in the old part of city (Beyazit section) near the University and Grand Bazaar(10 minute walk) rooms were very clean and comfortable, bed a little firm. Has nice bathroom but only shower that has a nice rainhead. Didn't think the rooms were that small. Staff was very helpful and friendly. There is a handy small convenience store down...

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighborhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
