Excellent location - opposite to what I think is the most beautiful Camii in Istanbul. Rooms were of good size with no issues. Free parking underground and also has on site gym to pump them arms before you stroll in to centre of Istanbul. Beautiful, grand hotel with friendly staff. Just remember though if you are to park your car... More

We enjoyed every minute here & in Istanbul. A great breakfast, great staff & service. Great location. This is our second visit to this hotel, first in April 2011. We will be back here again of course. Hope that you keep the level of service.

The location was great in that it was not in usual Blue Mosque tourist area....close to the university. But also very close to mosque if one does not like hearing call to prayer early. The hotel room was ok and fitness room so so, but there is a steam room and a pool. Some decent affordable non tourist restaraunts near... More

Great location, roomy, restaurant available, staff very pleasant and attempt to communicate with you. Negatives: not all staff spoke English and mosque across the street with loud speaker messages at 6 am daily.

The location is terrific bc you can easily walk to the Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace as well as the metro to take you to either airports and to other parts of the city (Taksim Square, etc). The free wi-fi was fast and there's an in-room hot water kettle plus safe, which is very convenient. My room... More

The location was awesome being near to two train stations going to all the "must see" places. The breakfast buffet included was good indeed. It was the room that was a let down, it was cramped and the air conditioning switch was useless since the system was centrally controlled. The hotel itself did not look how it was in their... More

We stayed here as part of a tour package. The hotel, right across from a large mosque, was located within easy reach of the Grand Bazaar, restaurants, the tram, etc. It was exceptionally warm for mid-October, but the system had been turned over to heat, so it was a bit uncomfortable for sleeping. Meals, breakfast and dinner, were all buffets,... More

Pro: The location is OK as there is only 5 mins to get to the Metro (Underground), 20 mins walk to the Eminonu and half an hour to get to the Sultanahmet. The stuff is nice and gentle. The beautiful mosque view. Cons: The breakfast is very so-so - everything was cold at 9:00 (breakfast served 7:00-10:00). No meat but... More

Great hotel, modern facilities, fantastic spa and pool to use after a hard day sightseeing the wonders of Istanbul. Hotel has a nice restaurant and patissierie to eat at if you are too tired to go far. A quick 10-15 minute walk to tram stop, Grand Bazaar, fancy shopping area and for walkers - a comfortable walk down the hill... More

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighborhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
