Having visited this hotel with high expectation, they did not fail to impress. Upon entering the hotel the decor really catches the eye and creates a real Soviet Union style feel.
The staff are very friendly and always happy to help with any query.
Big mistake in reserving and staying at this hotel. Please don't believe in the hotel pictures. The hotel is too old and need to be updated, the rooms are too small and in bad shape. The breakfast is okay. Some of the management are rude....More

With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to
retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

Jihad B has given you the route to the hotel via metro and tramway and this is by far the cheapest way to the hotel. However, if you have suitcases, travelling during the rush hour or there are more than 2 in the party, it is quicker and cost effective to take a private taxi which you can book through the hotel (about 30 Euros each way). The driver will meet you at the gate and the journey takes 40 minutes at worst, the public transport will take you over an hour at best.
