Great hostel with friendly staff and great location in Sultahnamet. Most big attractions are in walking distance. They have a very good and nice breakfast in their rooftop restaurant with a nice view on the bosphorus. The place is clean and nice and the staff will help you with anything you need. Everything you expect from a hostel and more.

My first time to Istanbul and I decided upon the Stanpoli and was pleasantly surprised. For the price of a dorm bed in the UK, I got a lovely ensuite room. It was clean, comfortable and the shower was great. The staff are super friendly, the breakfast fantastic (overlooking the Bosphorous) and I would certainly recommend it. Many thanks for...

This place was awesome. Rooms are clear, and the curtains for the beds give you a lot of privacy that other hostels don't. The breakfast was definitely excellent!!! Buffet breakfast! The receptionist Ardur was always super helpful giving advice about Istanbul. Location is also very very good, just 200m from the Blue Mosquee.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
