Clean rooms, short walk to the main tourist spots, great value for money and fantastic hosts! When we got to the hotel we were exhausted and the airport had lost our luggage. The hosts were more than accommodating, they offered to ring the airport for us and stayed up until 2am when our bags arrived and it was all "not...

Very good service, great location near most of tourist places. Very welcoming staff. Have stayed there a few times and would never change for any other hotel. Every time visiting feels like visiting my own family. Very friendly, helpful. Thanks to Mehmet and his family. Would highly recommend to everyone.

first off, there are two Buhara hotels in the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul, and also a restaurant with the same name. This one is NOT the family inn, it is in the building with LED Travel. Run by two brothers, only one speaks English. Room was clean with comfortable bed and pillow. Breakfast buffet very good with tomato, cucumber, cheese,...

I stayed there recently for 5 nights. If I were to return to Istanbul, I would definitely stay there again. The location is superb, the proprietor very helpful, and the rooftop terrace is a great place for the excellent buffet breakfast (or for seeing the Blue Mosque at night).

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
