The hotel is awesome in all aspects. The rooms are cozy and very clean. The Staff are well behaved and very helpful. Location very close to Taksim square is the main attraction. The airport shuttle, tram and metro stations are nearby. It is also very close to Istaklal, the most happening place in Istanbul with major stores, restaurants and bars....

Nicely restored old house with friendly, welcoming staff. The rooms are modern and newly renovated with some nice design features and near to Taksim square (5 minute walk). The only slight issue is the noise from the street which goes on all through the night and can disturb if you are in one of the front rooms of the building....

I had a great stay. The room was cleaned daily. This boutique hotel is exactly the way I like to spend my stay; in a cosy place, making my own coffee if necessary. Breakfast was good and staff was nice. Also the hotel is central and close to public transport. The ladies from the kitchen took good care of me!...

Great location! Best staff, very friendly and always ready to help . The rooms are very nice and clean. We stayed here twice and we had a wonderful experience each time. I love the fact that they serve breakfast until late. Mehmet (the owner ) does a great job managing this place and accommodating all his guests.

I had a very good experience staying at the Ottopera! Just a few blocks away from Taksim Square. Five minutes to metro, funicular, Istiklal. Continental breakfast is a big plus, coffee all day long. Recommended!

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
