Perfect location just around the corner from Blue Mosque square. We stayed in family room which is surprisingly spacious. The owners also have a restaurant on the corner. The courteous and helpful manager who explained sights and booked the transferência back to us. We ate in the owners restaurant which serves typical Turkish, well-priced meal - handy after a tiring...

We have just returned from an amazing week in Istanbul where we stayed at these apartments. We had a little trouble finding the place but our taxi driver rang the owner and they directed us with ease. We initially booked the double delux room but when we got there due to a mix up we were given a family room...

We stayed there for five days. Our taxi driver did the usual trick of pretending not to find it. Maybe you could give the name of the restaurant across the street. That one is easier to find, and has a sign outside. You can ask the owner about the restaurant's name, as he owns that as well. Payment was done...

as others have said the location is great once you get there, it took our taxi driver a while to find it and there is no signage; it didn't look great at 2am but was a safe area. We were 4 adults in a room and booked it so that we could stay together. We were in the family room...

Booked hotel from hotels.com for the family vacation. We had hard time to find the location. It located in a small street, no any sign or logo, we wandered around, eventual opposite side sokullu restaurant lady (the only person I met for the apartment/suite) arranged us to get and settled. It is just a family owned apartment to rent out...

Very close to the Blue Mosque and AyaSofya. Stayed at the top floor if I remember correctly. Room was nice and cosy. Some days there was a funny smell from the bathroom; it dissipated when we left the windows open for some time. Breakfast was at the rooftop restaurant of an adjacent hotel; we enjoyed the views of the sea...

We were placed in beautifully decorated double room. It was very clean and spacious. Hotel is perfectly located, just a minute walk from the Sultanahmet square. Staff was more than kind, providing us with a lot of helpful information. I will definitely recommend it and it will be my choice for next visit of Istanbul!

Great location just around the corner from Blue Mosque. We stayed in the triple basement room which is surprisingly light and spacious. The building isn't signed so taxi driver couldn't find it but the owners of their restaurant on the corner came to our rescue and we were then met by the courteous and helpful manager who explained sights and...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
