this is my second time in Istanbul and my second stay at the Sub-K. I look forward to the 3rd. This is an "art" hotel, very cool looking with a super comfortable lounge lobby. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are also...More
Centrally located around Karaköy, this hotel is close Istanbul Modern. The room was just ok. There was a constant air conditioning sound coming from outside. The rooms and stairs are a little dark but clean. The lobby is nice and trendy. They offer great coffe...More
My husband and I were here for 4 days and had a wonderful stay. The staff, like the hotel, is young and energetic.
- Neat, clean room and bathroom
- Free Turkish breakfast (you can order omlets and other items for 10-15TL)
The hotel is ideally located (in my opinion) and very reasonably priced. The staff were very helpful and the room was very acceptable - bathroom was a little small (and had no window to the outside) but that was ok.

best place in Istanbul!
great rooms and amazing staff,
SuB is located in a great area with lovely bars shops and restaurants!
this was the second time at SuB Karakoy
definitely recommend it ...........
Sitting pretty with an age-old air about it, Karakoy is situated on the European side of the Bosphorus at the mouth of the Golden Horn. Perhaps the city’s most historically significant area, it’s currently one of the most happening parts of town as well. Here street vendors and alfresco fish restaurants line the banks of the Horn where the views of major attractions across the water rival Karakoy’s own key attractions,
such as the iconic 14th century Galata Tower and the Museum of Modern Art. A major hub for local and international waterborne traffic, Istanbul’s commercial and maritime heritage remains as relevant and evident as ever in Karakoy. Commuter ferries mingle with luxury cruise liners at its busy port, ensuring a continuously cosmopolitan flow of people..

The hotel and stuff are really nice. I dont consider myself a lightsleeper, although i am not a person hard to wake (lets say normal). I was on one of the rooms close to the street side and at a high floor. I still could hear the noise of traffic but i wasnt hard for me to fall asleep. The main problem was that i did woke up with the morning prayers like at 5-6 am, and i even had earplugs.
