We visited Hotel Mina on 8 August for a week and had a family room. The hotel and the rooms far exceeded what we expected. The hotel was renovated a year ago and it really does show. The finishing of the decor was fantastic and tastefully done. The rooms really did have a homely feel. The hotel was a few... More

The hotel was in perfect location, all the historic places were on walking distance like grand bazar, hagia sofia, tram stop was just next road. The hotel was really good specially the security, service and the staff behaved very well, rooms were good and clean.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Mina Hotel. Our flight arrived at 6 o'clock in the morning and, since our room was available, they let us check in early with a complimentary breakfast! The room was a perfect fit for our family of five: it was comfortable, spacious, clean and understated elegance. Every member of staff was friendly and... More

The hotel was great, balcony very recommended, it require me to write 200 characters, at least that's not serious. Breakfast could be better but certainly enough !! It is a quiet place and not noisy. Very close to the bazaar and shops.

Staff was friendly and helpful! The hotel was beautiful and the roof top cafe had amazing views. It's within walking distance of Haggai Sophia and the Blue Mosque. It's about 15 minutes from the airport with no traffic.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
