I have been there twice and stayed for some nights. Perfect location, nice view from the window, good breakfast. The staff was great and helpful! Clean rooms, good beds. I enjoy the staying there because it's in a very easy location, and you can find close a lot of shops, coffee shops and restaurants. Also you can find easily 'road...

While a little shabby and smoky, the Pisa Hotel is a quiet little place with helpful staff, a good Turkish breakfast, and it is located on a quiet leafy street near the tram, university, and grand bazaar. I stayed there for four nights in April 2008, and considering the location you can't do much better for €45/night!

Never go to Pisa Hotel, especially if you are single women traveling to Turkey. I went there with my rommate to celebrate New year.... Whenever you pass the lobby, which is usually full of women hungry males that will undress you with the look while you pass by... The receptionist will call you at night and invite you to a...

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighborhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
