In the city so large for location but small compared to US standards. Strictly European. Nice staff. Old decor with adequate rooms for an overnight or short stay. Location was convenient to laical shops and sites.

Me and my wife stayed in the fourth floor on of this hotel for three nights. We arrived early in the morning around 5 and they let us early cheek in and when we were leaving they even let us checked out late. Rooms are good sized and clean according to the price. The service is really good. The hotel... More

This is our 5th holiday in Istanbul and we have always stayed at the Vicenza, its location is 2 minutes from the tram and located nicely away from the tourist area. The staff have always been very friendly and obliging. The rooms are clean and comfortable, we were disappointed that the 6th floor superior rooms have been converted into another... More

This is a quality hotel. It is located close to a tramline and only a short walking distance from Suleymaniye (Suleiman's Mosque) and the Grand Bazaar; several other attractions are also not very far away. The hotel's restaurant is fine and there are also several other restaurants (some of them associated with other hotels) nearby.

Stayed here with my family for a week. It was amazing. The staff were friendly when we first got to the hotel, hotel was nice and clean. They did a nice selection of breakfast which was nice. It was literally a 15/20 min walk from the hotel to the grand bazaar so we would usually walk. Rooms were nice and... More

This is a nice hotel, clean and comfortable rooms. Just 15-20 mins walk from grand bazar. It also has a fine restaurant if you want to eat in there. Not brand new furniture and they offer a pillow menu that they cant comply.

The location of the hotel was absolutely perfect, with a 10 minute walk to the Grand Bazaar and 20 minutes to the river Bosphorus and the Blue Mosque. The tram system works like a treat and is so cheap. either get a one journey token (4 lire) or a travel card for more days. There are shops, restaurants, cafes, you... More

We stayed 4 nights in July 2015. The hotel location is good although some taxi drivers could struggle finding it. The pool area is ok but the service there leaves a bit to desire (it took 30 minutes for 2 beer and chips to arrive). I wish that the works going on were more made known in advance as most... More

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighborhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
