With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

This is my to go Hôtel whenever I visit Istanbul (at least 6 times so far). It feels like home, it has the best location in Istanbul. Really cozy bedrooms and buffet breakfast on the rooftop with an extraordinary view.

Not as special as lastminute.com advised me. They say this is 4 star, its more like 2 star, bathroom very small, rooms look outdated. Asked for a double bed, they put 2 singles together. Asked for double duvet for 3 days now, not getting anywhere. Bathroom door locks, you need to ring them to come unlock it. Tv very small, lift only for 3 people max, get your trips and tours outside from offices, they charge higher from the hotel, airport transfers cheaper from outside offices, don't book anything from street guys, not trustworthy. Breakfast is ok, they cook omelettes and fried eggs to order. Also mini sausages and cheese rolls are nice, free breakfast included with stay, no restaurant facilities at other times

Respectful, kind, generous, understanding, knowledge staff. Wonderful hotel, truth makes you feel you are at home. My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights and 7 days, we had an AMAZING experience. We travel a lot, and this is by far the best hotel with the top hospitality we have yet to encounter. Special thank you to Ozer, so kind and helped us a lot. Made us feel so comfortable and at home.

The location is nice, staff speak English. But that’s all we fell for. The building is old and very noisy, you can count the steps of people walking in the hall or enjoy flush sound of your neighbor or room above. In addition the our room was not even serviced for a day, so we had to call for a shampoo and stuff and no one even apologized. I won’t stay there. P.S: Just check the location of plug and switch behind your pillow, good luck turning in bed without switching the light on and scare yourself. !

Friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic location, walking distance to the Blue mosque, Hagia sophia, Topkapi palace etc. You will find plenty of eating places around the area and it is safe too. The hotel is small. It has 3 floors and the 4th floor is the eating area. It is designed in an olden style theme so it will feel very homely and take you back in time. The beds were very comfortable, we had a great night sleep everyday! Rooms were cleaned well, thanks to our lovely house keeper Azra. She was very kind and had a bubbly personality. Thank you to the night house keeper who would always top us up with teas and sugar when needed and he was kind enough to get us a litre of milk too! I would recommend this hotel for families. Thank you to all the friendly bunch of staff at Erguvan.
