The bathroom is fine but finitions and cleaness could be better. Internet wifi and air conditioning work perfectly. Curtains in the bedroom are very difficult to close....

The location was great. Only 50 steps from Taksim square with very polite staff and complete international breakfast. Rooftop pool with very nice view suitable for summer travelers and indoor pool for those who travel in winter.

It is located near Taksim square. We have a room with 3 beds. The room was very small. We couldn't move in the room. The view was awful. There wasn't any facilities in swimming pool. It wasn't clean. Staffs were not helpful and friendly. Room service was too weak. We asked knife, they brought us fork instead of knife. Their...

- The hotel is centrally located in Taksim; walking distance to Istiklal street - The room & its bathroom are so small. They are noisy from the adjacent rooms. - Breakfast is average; however, the view from the breakfast venue is nice.

We stayed 4 nights at Gonen Hotel, it was not a 5 stars hotel but considering the money and the location it was good. Our room was very small, the floor was covered with carpet and the carpet was full of hair. The staff were helpful. The breakfast was good. In conclusion because of the perfect location it is worth...

Confortable room and bed, nice shower, good ac and heater, good wi-fi speed and very friendly bell-boys. I asked for a non-smoking floor because my brother is allergic to cigarets. On our 3rd night at the hotel a new family moved next door and they were smoking a lot. There was smoke everywhere. I asked at the reception if that...

Its located a min away from taksim square...pretty awesome place to walk. I stayed in the suite which was nice and clean but no view of the river as claimed on the website. Their rooftop restaurant is excellent, good food and fantastic view of the bosphorous. Friendly and helpful staff.

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
