Loved it the most for its location and breakfast. It is walking distance from Blue mosque, Top Kapi and Aya Sofia. Tram station Gulhane is literally at a two min. walk which is very convenient for moving aroud the city. Good souvenir and turkish delight shops nearby, specially on the street from which tram passes. Lots of cafes nearby, but... More

The hotel has very good service and amazing food. We really enjoyed the stay there because it is very comfortable and clean. The maid who cleaned our room was excellent, and the location is fantastic near the Sultan Ahmet.

This hotel is very centrally located, short walk to Blue Mosque, Ayasofya and Topkaki Palace. Staff are very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast has a large selection and a nice view. Rooms however are very old and outdated and for some reason the guests like to argue well into the night, walls are thin but they do provide ear plugs in... More

We received a well appointed, comfortable room on the fourth floor. Strong, hot shower, which, for me, is always a discriminator. Very friendly, relaxed ambience. And the real clincher is the amazing breakfast from the roof top restaurant. A wonderful array of local treats, including honey from the comb, delicious fruits and pastries and savory flavours that remind one that... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
