I am travelling for 3 days in istanbul. Writing this after my 2nd night. The staff has been exceptional. I had booked a standard room. Due to being a Radisson Gold member i was upgraded to s superior room. But as I was travelling with a toddler I found the room to be pretty small as well as I had setup a crib for my baby. Next morning I requested if I can be upgraded to a suite and the manager was kind enough to cater to our comfort. I tried the roof top terrace restaurant on my first night. I would wish if there were more turkish options in the menu. But maybe other restaurants in the hotel cater to that and I didnt check out those. I also tried room service at 4am when my baby woke up as he was still operating at Atlantic time. The service was really quick even at that hour. Amenities are plentiful and whatever I needed was brought to me very quickly. During covid the SOPs are being followed pretty strictly. I saw constant cleaning happening everywhere and everyone taking precautions. I required a covid test for my flight out and I was just wondering where I can go for my test. Interestingly hotel has arranged for my wife and I at the hotel. The location is perfect as its near to everything there is to see. Much thanks to the staff and the management.…
I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel. It’s very clean! The location was perfect, near to the Grand Bazaar and other shops and restaurants. The restaurant at the hotel was affordable and the food delicious. Most of all the staff were brilliant, friendly and attentive. I’ll always stay at this hotel due to feeling so welcome and comfortable! I cannot wait to go back soon.
Very well positioned hotel , close to many sights amd shopping ! A big problem with communicating with taxi drivers : how many tourists there are , i only know Turkish ! Otherwise , too short a time does not allow an objective evaluation
Good hotel in a location close to main attractions such as Grand Bizaar, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. We got an Airport bus from Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) to Taksim which cost about 36 Turkish Lira. We then got a taxi from Taksim to the hotel. Beware of some of the rip off taxi drivers and their scams. We got ripped off and charged 4 times the true cost (100 Lira instead of 25), as the driver went along the coast and pretended not to be familiar with where the hotel was and was aggressive. Also beware of a taxi scam where, for example, you hand the driver a 100 lira note, then he quickly switches it to a 10 lira note and tells you that you only gave him 10 lira. Tell the driver how much the note is when handing it over. There are two separate bus services from and to: 1) Istanbul Airport (IST) and Taksim (which drops off and picks up near the Point Hotel Taksim). 2) Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) and Taksim (which drops off and picks up near the Point Hotel Taksim). Just make sure you get on the correct bus (both services go from the same street). The hotel itself was very good. The room and bathroom were not huge, but a very good standard. Comfy bed, huge flat screen tv, and coffee / tea making facilities. We were in room 326 which had a limited view of the sea. Whilst the hotel was good, we would not stay here again, as we feel Taksim is a better location. We feel that it would be better to stay in Taksim and travel to Fatih to visit sights. Top tip: ask for a room with a view of the sea from floor 4 or above. The hotel called us a taxi to take us from the hotel to Taksim to get the Airport bus when we left the hotel, and we did not get ripped off. I recommend asking the hotel to call a taxi rather than get one yourself.…
Perfect place to stay, ultra central, 10min to Bazar, to Hagia Sophia and other places you may want to visit. The staff was excelent, the room very clean, the breakfast also very taste, you wont regret if you choose to stay here.
