This hotel has a nice ambiance. Historic building in a good location. Our room was nice and clean. I wish the TV had more English channels to watch. The breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of variety to choose from. The club lounge and AC in the room could use some improvement.

Avoid this hotel. It is nowhere near a 5* more pushing a 3*. Reception staff are rude, unhelpful and always grumpy. Room standard worn and dated and lifts (if working) tired and unclean. It was the worst hotel experience I’ve had for many years and we travel a lot. Roadwork noise at night forced us to move rooms twice but this was badly handled and Yaseen on reception needs to be removed or retrained in how to deal with problems that occur. He was rude to the point of intimidating making us feel uncomfortable that we needed to change rooms. The Business lounge is a joke - I’ve seen better food at a child’s play centre and the breakfast is not worth going to. Shambolic all in all and IHG will be receiving my comments too as this hotel seriously lets down a usually consistent brand.…

The worst 5* hotel ever. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. Staying at this hotel had ruined my holiday. I have nothing good to saying anything about this hotel. It is meant to be a 5* hotel but nothing is 5* about it. Most of the staff are very rude, the house keeping don't even clean your room properly they just do the bed and clean abit of the bathroom. They don't even provide you with slippers and the right amout of towels. It states the rooms are sound proof which is a lie. I was woken up by loud drilling from inside the hotel. At no point I got told that there was going to be construction works going on. I had complained about my experience to the hotel manager by the name of Chenk. He offered me a free spa service, room upgrade and free taxi ride to the airport but then back tracked the offer and stated I will need to pay for it. It is not worth the price the standard rooms are so small and tight for two people. It's May 2023 and they still have Christmas decoration’s up. Don't waste your money here.…

We had a very disappointing check in with multiple problems for mid night check in, after a tiring flight from UK. We had a disturbed night sleep , failed electricity to name a few problems , but in the morning the Duty Front Desk Manager Mr Erol Hizar was a great help , he looked after us is a most professional manner . Our decision to move to another hotel was changed due to fantastic problem solving ability of Mr. Hizar, a true asset for IHG and Crown Plaza . Hotel is a beautiful renovated building, location cannot be better, facilities are up to the 5 star standards . Most importantly the staff is absolutely wonderful. A pleasant morning after a dreadful mid night check in and the problems we faced, thanks to Mr Hizar.

I stayed at this Hotel for 3 nights with my sister and everything in this stay exceeded my expectation from the person who greeted us outside (he said he was a professional soccer player, I forgot his name.. sorry) to the check in process to room service. Everything was just perfect. Kemel who was responsible for cleaning my room (rm#1111) was very attentive, polite and friendly. The location was excellent since it was 3 min walk to the tramway and 4 min walk to the metro as well. shopping and restaurants is all around you. Breakfast was great with many varieties to fit every taste. The only thing I would mention is that if you stay in a room facing the main st it might me little noisy if you are used to complete quietness at night. I would definitely stay there again. Great hotel got upgraded to executive suite fantastic room. All staff were excellent and very helpful. Special mention goes to MERT on reception desk who was very professional in checking us in and sorting out my rewards as a Diamond Elite member. The trip advisors were very knowledgeable and recommended a great 1 day tour of Istanbul which we experienced and thoroughly enjoyed. Overall a 5 star experience and would come back with no hesitation.

Hotel was lovely (especially the lobby with the 4 different buildings enclosed) and all the staff were all fantastic. Location was perfect with things in walking distance or if going to the blue Mosque areas a short tram ride or 15 minute walk. Fatima and Nassim from the tour desk in the hotel lobby were amazing informative and helpful. We had Aydin as our driver on two occasions, he speaks great English, and is a wonderful guy.

The hotel is very elegant and well placed in the Old City. The staff (ALP) even tried to help with my Turkish. I have stayed at this hotel at two different occassions with the same standard of high room cleaniless.
