Neighborhood
Sisli
For much of Istanbul’s history, Sisli and the area just north of Taksim Square were open countryside used mostly as hunting grounds. These days, Sisli and its chic streets are considered the very heart of contemporary Istanbuli life, where an epicenter of fashion and a thriving business district meet to create an expressly “downtown” feel. Though largely a residential neighborhood, luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and upscale shops abound with many of them situated inside or nearby Cevahir Istanbul, the biggest shopping mall in Europe and second biggest urban shopping mall in the world. Shopaholics and fashionistas travel from near and far to browse the area's mix of major global brand items and creations by popular Turkish designers.

We stayed at the Hilton in August for 4 nights- We arrived early evening, reception was busy so had to wait a while - we had previously upgraded to an executive room and took advantage of the discount rate . The staff member acknowledged I was a Hilton member but no other complementary benefits were offered . I found the front desk staff rather cold and not welcoming- Our room was a city king / as per previous reviews the rooms are tired looking but are large and serve a purpose , the balcony was lovely - from personal choice I don’t see the point of a river view as the hotel is not set directly by the river ? Our television didn’t work very good , hardly any programmes and bad reception I called guest relations and was told it was a problem throughout the hotel and they were fixing it . Fair enough The following day still the same so I asked the front desk to look at the problem, when I returned that evening nothing had been done . In the end on day 3 we asked the maid to help us , to her credit she immediately called and the maintenance guy fixed the issue with 2 mins . The point I am making is that reception should be more considerate towards its guest - if the room isn’t right and things don’t work then offer the guest another room.. The hotel and location is excellent for exploring the sights of Istanbul it’s a 5 min walk to the square . The grounds and gardens are beautiful and the swimming pool is large , pool towels are provided and plenty of sun beds what ever time of day . Well done to the staff at the executive lounge first class service , I would definitely upgrade to the lounge , the breakfast and evening food is very good and a good amount of choice - alcohol is also served / sprits / wine etc .. yes it costs more but in the long run it could save money plus the views and peace and quiet of the lounge is a must have . Overall my experience of the Hilton is positive and the staff are very nice and it’s an excellent hotel to be staying in close to everything, I do hope management take note of my comments, guest relations should be your first concern and I am sure it’s an easy fix to get reception staff to focus more on customer service .

Very nice staff but really dated hotel that might be a throw back to the 50s when it was built Obvious no money has been invested in the rooms in 30 years Rooms still in the 80s No executive lounge- just water down drinks in the verandah bar with tired stale food that was made a couple of hours before Stayed at the intercontinental before and that makes this look like a dated holiday inn by comparison I gave two because they tried to move me to three old tired rooms that looked identically out of the 80s- bashed up furniture, worn carpets and an AC system that needs a complete update This should not be a Hilton anymore One redeeming piece is the views but again there you lose out as the lounge has way better views

Okay i rated this a 3 stars just because it isnt what was on the website. The breakfast was poor! I ordered a ham and cheese toast. It took them bout 30 mins. I got a cheese tost with ham on the side! Yes theyre busy but this isnt good enough. They say that this hotel is dog friendly... Well the dogs are not allowed to be left in the room alone so for breakfast we have to go twise. (someone goes alone) There are some really ridiculous rules not to mention that dogs have lived too. They are not allowed in the pool- which brings me to my next point. This ridiculous and dumb rule that your not allowed in the pool unless you are 16 or have an adult with you...??? What if your husband is working and you have to keep an eye on the dog... You have children. You can't take them to the pool. Next point is the basketball court. Its supposed to be a luxury but you have to pay 160 liras which is insane. It should have been included on the room price. The designs are kinda old for the 21st century. The hotel is an average hotel. Its really big so you need to take really long walks in the hot sun, however it jas a nice room and good wifi and a perfect view. That is all i have to say thank you... Good to get that outa my system.

The staff was very friendly and we felt appreciated. I would especially like to thank Naila (Guest Relations Coordinator) for making our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel was very clean which I think is the most important feature during the pandemic. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable, it was the perfect place to relax. I can’t wait to come back to this wonderful hotel.
