We booked for two nights at the suits after we read the reviews, but when we arrived it was a shock. The location is so terrible even its near to taksim square. When we entered our suite, we noticed that the linens and bed cover were so dirty and full of splatters!!! The water heater is disaster as well. We...

I stayed here while I was in Istanbul and chose it because it was extremely close to Taksim and Ikistal Caddesi. It's literally a 2 minute walk away, so I give this place props for being really close to the city center and near the bars and restaurants. The room itself was pretty nice. It had a kitchen and small...

we stayed here only two nights , we liked the room but only batroom was narrow this is the reason why I gave 4 star. room decoration and size ok, location is the best. Taksim square only walking distance 5 min. I can prefer this hotel for my next trip.

We loved this place! Ok let me start out by saying it definitely was not what I was expecting and for some people they may not be ok with it. Looked a lot bigger on the site but it ended up being good for me and two other people. If you need extra space this wont be for you. If...

My friend, who's from Istanbul recommended me this place when I went to Turkey last year, and it was very nice. My main goal was to see the Hagia Sophia, and the hotel was up the street from it. I definitely recommend staying here.

We initially booked four nights in the Butterfly Suites after seeing many positive reviews. When we actually arrived in Istanbul and were shown the room we would be in, it not only looked absolutely nothing like the photographs from the websites we had seen, but the entire suite was falling apart and very dirty. When we complained that the shower...

The hotel was great and in a very good neighbourhood. Istiklal street was just across the street, which was amazing place to be all night. The rooms were just lovely, clean and enough for a couple with a nice terrace viewing the neighbourhood (bonus). We loved having a supermarket just below the hotel for our random daily needs. They don't...

Stayed here a night before taking an early morning flight to Antalya. Booked it in the basis of the several positive comments here on TA. Location is at the back of a back alley!! dimly lit and felt unsafe initially (though having spent more time in Istanbul, can say that the city as a whole is safe enough). Was pretty...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
