I really like this place, 9 appartments very close to Taksim Square and the Iskalder street. Rooms are not so big; but everything you need is inside. I was in apartment 5 which has a small balcony. The only 2 points are that the stairs are a bit narrow with your luggage and that I couldn't blind all of my...

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights along with a group of 6 friends. We had the room at the 4th floor and there wasn't an elevator!!! The lack of the elevator was not mentioned anywhere and the stairs were narrow and steep, making really difficult to carry luggage at the top floor. I had ask for an early check...

This apartment complex is close to Taksim square & all the shopping & night life. The workers within the apartment complex were very friendly & helpful. The only thing I found let the place down was when it rained there was a constant leak from the window which kept me awake. The kitchen counter also was little dated & ruined....

We chose this hotel, because of its low cost. I went there in a group of 7 people. We stated there for 2 nights! We stayed in an apartment on the fourth floor. There was NO ELEVATOR! We had to carry our bags from the stairs for four floors! The stairs were really narrow, and curved for the first two...

While this hotel/flat is ideally located near Taksim square and the staff is very helpful (I was delayed arriving and they rebooked the arranged transport), the room I was in lacked any of the advertised features: no microwave, no dishes ... had a hotplate but nothing with which to cook on it. The biggest problem was that large areas of...

I was 3 days in Istanbul with other 7 friends. We got a ca. 40 m^2 apartment for 8 people: 1 bathroom, a small kitchen with a sofa, 2 sleeping rooms (1 double bed, 2 single beds, 1 double bunk bed). It was fully furnished with essential kitchen stuff (cups, dishes, microwave, kettle, camping electrical cooking plate), bed sheets, blankets,...

DUring our stay we had no problems with roumors at all. There were no renovations going on so it was quiet. Having free...

I work for an airline company and I travel alot and I have visited Istanbul several times and tried several hotels but I never found a hotel better than Taksim 9 Suites Apartments. The location is near Taksim square and Taksim metro station which make it ideal for both sightseeing and nightlife. The rooms are clean and well maintained and...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
