No doubt the hostel is very well positioned and the staff is very nice and helpful. But the dorms and the common room are in two separate building, not very handy in winter. And in general it has been very messy to get the keys and a bed. I have seen far better hostels.

We stayed 6 nights there, 1st 5 nights were in the 8 person dorm room, not the best, but basic and provided the necessities. Last night, our room was moved to the 6 person dorm room, which was about 10x better. Better equipped, bathroom on that floor was nicer. Worth the extra couple of US dollars to get the better... I stayed there 2 weeks ago with my girlfriend. We were really satisfied about the hostel. That's why If i or any of my friend wanna go to Istanbul, definitely we are gonna stay there again. This hostel is in the best location. It's only 5 min walking distance from istiklal street and only 2 min far away from subway(metro).... More

I have very mixed feelings about this hostel. I booked it because it was a bargain at 25 euro/night for a private room with a shared bathroom. Arrival was fine, guy working was very friendly even if it was his first day. The a/c in my room had no remote and he promptly found one for me. I think it's... More

The location and staff were the best at this hostel. The room was clean and nice however the female four bed dorm door does NOT shut or lock. The door opens in night and the door frame has been broken so does not allow the handle to work. Therefore anyone can just push door to open. However I felt very... More

The location of the hostel was the best about our stay here. Within a short walking distance you reach public transport that takes you to the main tourist sights in minutes. Meanwhile you're staying in the heart of what feels like where everything is happening in Istanbul (though you're still in a quite lane and not on the main road).... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
