Would unquestionably recommend the place. The hotel is small, only 20 rooms which gives you kind of romantic atmosphere. Moreover the location is just excellent – everything within walking distance. Helpful and cheerful staff, especially the manager. I booked the standard room, but got the one with sea view. The room itself was exceptionally clean and quiet. Breakfast was fine.... More

Rested at this hotel in January 2016, was not lucky with the weather, but everything else was super. Hotel small but very cozy, our room was on the 5th floor (elevator), quiet, comfortable, clean (cleaned every day). At the reception the friendly guys ready to help in any qussion. Breakfast - Europe, various (do not stay hungry for sure). One... More

I stayed here for 4 nights in an Economy Double Room and had a pleasant stay. Breakfast is served in the morning and very simple and filling. The reception was friendly and gave me a map with hotel location as well as routes to all of the Old City (Sultanahmet)’s famous attractions, which are all within easy walking distance. The... More

Nice restaurants and shops are very close. The bus stop 1 of the big bus is also close. I booked the transfer from airport to hotel with this hotel and... More

This is the worst hotel ever. Our rooms were bunkers literally then they said that they had a problem with the rooms and had to go to another bunker like hotel. Worst experience ever. Plus it was smelly and disgusting. None of this was written on the website

We stayed at this hotel from 21-24 November 2015. We booked 4 rooms in advance at good price 2 month earlier. When we arrived they said, that there was no 4 empty rooms and offered us to take 2 rooms at this hotel and 2 at neighbor hotel, which was 100 meter far from this hotel. The hotel was good,... More

It was a nice hotel for a good price. We got a room with sea view. Breakfast was absolutely ok. 5 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque 10 from Hagiasophia 15 from the Grand Bazaar. A lot of restaurants around in the neighborhood. The staff was helpful.

We stayed at Blue Istanbul Hotel for 5 days July 2015 before moving on to our Europe trip. We had a limited budget for the week in Istanbul, and were pleasantly surprised with our choice. The staff were friendly and were happy to store our luggage until check in when we arrived early. Our room was neat and clean and... More

It was an amazing experience having stayed at Blue Istanbul Hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful especially Bahattin! The location of the hotel is hard to find but once you're there all will be great! I do recommend staying in this hotel big time.

This hotel is over hyped. It is located centrally but in a pretty run down street. The rooms are very small with barely space to walk around the bed and the bathrooms are shabby (there was no plug in my basin) The breakfast was very basic and to be honest to worst buffet style breakfast I have had. The staff... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
