Amazing place to stay. Thanks to owner Mr Kutay for the wonderful help. We are a family of 6 people and it is always nice to have the whole house (4 rooms) to ourself. it is as if we became a part of the local Turkish people and surroundings.

About a kilometer from the major Sultanahmet tourist attractions (Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia), this collection of cozy housekeeping units had everything we needed for a one-week stay. Our room was equipped with two comfortable beds -- one double, the other twin -- making it practical for a couple or two single travelers, even for a family with one child. The owners (a middle-aged couple and their grown son, who speaks fluent English) graciously provided whatever we requested, such as a microwave and additional hangers. Size-wise, these units are more like a small hotel room with bathroom and cooking nook than like a conventional studio apartment. Within a couple of blocks are shops offering everything from cheese to heavenly fresh baklava. Alcohol is harder to find in this district. You may want to pick up your favorite tipple at the airport duty free.

We stayed in room 5 had a double bed and a single bed. The cooking facilities are very basic but it is so cheap to eat out we did not mind. It was lovely having a fridge and we appreciated a hot drink when we wanted it. We got a taxi from the airport and the driver had great difficulty locating the property! Might be worth printing off a map! It is situated halfway up a fairly steep hill with steps at the top so if you find it hard to walk maybe not the best place for you There is a spiral staircase up to the roof gardens and upper rooms. We enjoyed sitting out every night looking over the river. You are veryclose to at least two mosques that blast the call to prayer very loudly! We found the family very helpful helping us to book taxis and storing our luggage on the last day Location is greT for being able to walk to all the main tourist sites and also to come back for an afternoon snooze Bathroom was modern with toiletries provided as well as disposable slippers which was a nice touch. Free wifi was good and fast. We also had a safe in our room too. Don't go expecting luxury this is basic accommodation and that is reflected in the price. We were comfortable, we felt safe and would recommend a la house to you!
