To start with the location, the hotel is 1 min far from the Republic Monument and has its 6th floor (where you will have your breakfast) overlooking Taksim Square. You can easily reach the metro station and Istiklal avenue so what else do you need more! Upon checking in, the receptionist welcomes you and offers you multiple tour options at...

The room was very small, not clean, the curtains kept falling, they tried to fix it multiple times with toilet paper and silicone gel. The reception staff was rude and the breakfast in the morning was poor. I had a few choices of food and drinks, if you want tea then you have to pay extra. The room wifi wasn't...

The only thing good about this hotel was the location. Everything else was very poor. I hope no body else falls into this 4Star trap (2 Star rating would be too much for this place). To mention a few things about this hotel. 1- smelly toilet and room 2- no privacy in the shower or bathroom 3- no tissues in...

We stayed at the Taksim Life Hotel for 2 nights. It was close to public transport and the night life. Comfortable room, traditional and taste breakfast with nice and friendly staff. Good stay for a budget price.

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
