I stayed for a week in a suite overlooking the Bosphorus - reasonably priced - as part of my annual summer holiday treat. The views from the two small terraces provided by the suite were the most dramatic that I have ever had. Ever. I chose the hotel because I wanted to be able to sit and read in the... More

Exquisite breakfast and restaurant. Great rooms with views of the Ortakoy Mosque and the Bosphorous river. Very close to many bars and restaurants. The gym, however, is quite small. Make sure to get a room that faces out onto the river.

To my regret I only spend 1 night in this fantastic hotel. It was recommended to my by my Turkish business partner and I must say, it was great. The hotel has a real stylish look, and although not the biggest, the rooms are well equipped and very clean. The location is just perfect and the staff is very friendly... More

I was in Istanbul for a family wedding, which was at this hotel. What a great choice! I understand this was once an old luxurious home retrofitted as a hotel, and a marvelous job of it has been done. Beautifully appointed details in the architecture inside and out. Regal mosque obviously a focal point along with the bridge and surrounding... More

The working staff were very lovely, but the Owner/Manager was a Money grabber! I booked a deluxe room with balcony, only to find when we drew the curtains that some previous guest had been very sick over the curtains and carpet. They did move us, but the owner was very reluctant and even suggested that I was the one that... More

Lovely, well-designed interiors. The rooms were on the small side, but comfortable and of a high standard. Our room had a small balcony looking out on to the Bosphorus. It's a beautiful spot at sunset if you don't mind the lively sounds from downstairs. We enjoyed it actually, as House Cafe plays nice music and attracts quite a trendy crowd.... More

We stayed for 7 nights, and the service was impeccable. Always available to assist and staff spoke good english . Metin, in particular at the front desk was always willing to go over and above to assist. We travelled with our 5 year old daughter , nothing was too much trouble. The view from the hotel is second to none... More

My wife and I spent 3 nights here during the World Humanitarian Summit. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is right on the Bosphorus and on Ortakoy Square, a popular Istanbul destination . The room was nice with the best feature being the balcony where one can sit and watch the ships and ferries passing by as well as Ortakoy... More

Having stayed at their Galatasaray hotel before I knew what to expect a stylish mix of modern and a 19th C Turkish building . Ortakoy mosque and the Bridge are the views from your room. But bear in mind a couple of issues which may be of a concern to you. Coming back from the business district is almost impossible... More

Staying in Sisli

Neighborhood Profile
Sisli
For much of Istanbul’s history, Sisli and the area just north of Taksim Square were open countryside used mostly as hunting grounds. These days, Sisli and its chic streets are considered the very heart of contemporary Istanbuli life, where an epicenter of fashion and a thriving business district meet to create an expressly “downtown” feel. Though largely a residential neighborhood, luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and upscale shops abound with many of them situated inside or nearby Cevahir Istanbul, the biggest shopping mall in Europe and second biggest urban shopping mall in the world. Shopaholics and fashionistas travel from near and far to browse the area's mix of major global brand items and creations by popular Turkish designers.
