This boutique hotel is simply amazing! The position is perfect, in the hearth of the city. Rooms are really nicely designed even though some are small. Service is really attentive and rooms are well cleaned.

This lovely Boutique Hotel in the most lively location (music all over - close to Galata Tower) is a treasure. Tasteful, clean, very well trained receptionists, wonderful breakfast served by a friendly attentive waiter. The first two nights my room was big but without a view - and without asking for they offered me another room with a beautiful view.I...

We stayed at the Stories Hotel Kumbaraci recently and declared that this will be the only hotel we will stay when we come back to Istanbul for another visit. Our Turkish friend recommended this hotel and we search it online and booked it. Stories Hotels has another two property further down the Istiklal Street (walking street) but we prefer this...

We stayed here for 4 nights early October and couldn't fault the place. We had one of the rooms at the top with a great view and large terrace. The rooms were spotless and had all you need, comfy bed, iron etc. But oddly (my only criticism) a very small bin! Located near a main shopping street, the area around...

This little gem is located in the heart of Istanbul. Literally you can ask for a better location if you are in the city for tourism. The rooms are really clean with nice amenities & adequate space. The staff is really friendly and helpful & we truly enjoyed our stay. The only thing they could improve is the breakfast. Not...

I would have liked to rate this hotel higher, but I found that the level of noise from staircase/elevator/other rooms/street prevented me from getting a good night's sleep - which I find is the most important quality of a hotel room. When booking the room I specifically requested a room with as little noise as possible, as I am somewhat...

This hotel is in a great location just off the main pedestrian street Istiklal Cadessi, so lots of day and night people watching, restaurants and shopping. And no street noise! Air conditioning and shower very good. That's the good news. Unfortunately, the bed was like sleeping on a stone slab, sofa but no chair to sit on and no writing...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
