Holy wow!!! We were at Casalavanda on July 24 . Everything was phenomenal! It is in a village about one hour from Istanbul city and really perfect for a getaway. The rooms are well appointed, clean, and very comfortable . Everywhere smells like lavender garden which is great. They used all natural materials ,renewable sources like wood and stone. We had a Lovely dinner on the back deck with a view of the pure nature. Our waitress was attentive and nice. Restaurant menu was pretty rich with very delicious kind Medeterenian food. The tagliolini was yummy! As was steak and homemade mustard, grill vegetables . Special thanks to Emre Chef. We got to sit and relax with no rushing . I like seeing people enjoying their day. there is plenty of space where you can relax. You will definitely be recommended by us to any of my mates. Thank you all!

We stayed a Friday night at this hotel with my husband to get away from the brouhaha of the city and it was a great choice. We were there on a winter day and the hotel (which has only 14 rooms anyway) was not crowded at all as it's best in spring and summer with its large gardens and outdoor swimming pool. We went to spa and had massage. The spa was nice, with large windows looking into the gardens but only the part we were was heated, other parts of the spa were extremely cold. Though at the check-in we had stated we would be using the sauna, when we went to the spa, we saw that it was not heated but that wasn't a big problem for us, we enjoyed our massage anyway. I recommend to make a reservation for the massage before arriving to the hotel as there are only 2 massage therapists and you might not find a vacancy in the schedule during crowded days. The hotel seems to be a great spot for company meetings to as there are 3 meeting rooms accommodating different groups sizes. The rooms are named after the trees and we stayed in room called "kayın" (beech tree). The rooms are nice, decoration is rustic, the bathroom well equipped. The only problem we faced was that the room was way too hot but when you turn down the heating, then it gets very cold, so, the sleep quality was not ideal. But that won't be a problem if you go in the right season, ie spring or summer. There is a pond inside the hotel premises which is beautiful. The overall decoration is cute and cozy. But the best part of this hotel is its restaurant. It's a real gem!! I reviewed that restaurant at the restaurant section separately but let me repeat here that this is one of the best fine dining restaurants I have ever been to. Only that restaurant experience is enough to decide to stay at Casa Lavanda. The breakfast is served at the same restaurant and that was very good too. I recommend this place as a romantic getaway.

We went there for lunch on their garden. Please be aware dont go there with your pet, or if you are scared of dogs. Their two German shepherd dogs attacked us and our dog. I had to rescue her. The personnel have no sense of training or education about these dogs. They do not even have first aid kit in the hotel. They only care about their pockets not the guests. They did not even apologize from us, our dog has gone through a surgery and her lungs collapsed. We are undergoing a very bad trauma since this visit. The hotel is blaming us the we did not wait at the door like all guest are obliged to wait to enter a restaurant!!! They are disrespectful! They know these dogs are aggressive but they don't even bother to tie them when all these guests are around. Not worth to visit and endanger yourself. I am writing this review to serve as public information.

Response from CasaLavanda, Yönetici at Casa Lavanda Boutique Hotel

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT Please kindly informed that we would like to clarify a disappointing incident which took place in our Hotel’s garden and then been shared with public in a non-reflective way of truth on Wednesday, 01/05/2019. First of all, we embrace Ares and Ruby as our children so we feel deep sorrow due to what happened lately because we certainly empathise with you. Also including our own children, Ares and Ruby have never hurt anyone so far. Our hotel staff have already been trained to follow all kind of procedures to prevent such kind of accidents with another pet until now. Just as we do with all of our pet friends, we were kindly requested Roy’s owners to wait at the front door on the day of arrival until they made sure that Ares and Ruby had been locked up. However; Mrs Gozem entered the garden area without waiting for other dogs being locked up despite of her husband’s warnings and unfortunately Roy was battered by our dogs. All hotel staff and even hotel residentials were being assisted during the unfortunate incident. First aid intervention was instantly carried out by hotel owner Mr. Ekin Şen in coordination with our own veterinarian on the telephone. Our dogs, Ares and Ruby, absolutely did not attack Mrs. Gozem or her husband Mr. Batuhan. Roy the dog bit Mr Batuhan’s hand for he was in panic. During the medical dressing, Batuhan Bey reacted by making a statement to his wife Mrs Gozem, saying, "People have already warned you, why did you come in by yourself and called me in?" We are not only deeply upset about how the case was being told to others, but also how it happened. While we constantly take care of any kind of needs of our guests, not being involved in this case or not helping our guests are absolutely not acceptable. The process has been passed to the judiciary and we have already shared our statements with the prosecution. It has been proved with the original cam visuals that most of the explanations dont reflect the main truth. We deeply share Mr Batuhan and Mrs Gozem’s sorrow and are ready to do anything to support them. However; we will not allow this to be turned into a smear campaign and to be told in a way that has nothing to do with the actual incident. We are sorry to announce that we have also initiate the legal proceedings regarding this incident. All the hotel staff and guests who were staying at the hotel during the incident, gave these official statements to the related authorities. Kindly announced to the public. Casa Lavanda Family

It is in a village about one hour from Istanbul city, where you can spend a weekend and get relaxed. Surroundings are beautiful, and you can take a walk to the nearby village. It has a good restaurant, but overpriced I think. Some dishes are worth what you pay, but some do not.

Just buildings and decoration, they are beutiful but nothing else. Unfriendly and unhelpful hosts. For such a place prices are extremely high. Waste of money. There are much cheaper and more friendly places around.
