I turned up this so called hotel on 19th August with my family but we could not stand in the room. So so filthy, stinky, ugly, damp and flies all over the room basin leaked on the floor AC does not work and no basic facilities even, it's absolutely rubbish minus one star. They lie to me when I reject...

This hotel is in the old section of town in Sultanahmet and only a walk up the hill to the main square and Blue Mosque. Nice, clean affordable hotel with family restaurants in the neighborhood. Typical Turkish breakfast buffet with many choices.

I was not sure what to expected after reading reviews, but it was really good. Roberto was really friendly and welcoming. First we were guided to the basement but the room wasn't ready so he moved us to the top floor to a bigger room than we paid for, which was very nice. The room was ok, there was nice...

The location is excellent, just a 10-12min walk from the blue mosque. The area is safe and surrounded by little shops where you buy snacks/fruit, souvenirs, and a few cafes. The rooms themselves are nicely furnished, clean, heated (or AC if needed), hot water, good wifi speed, well lit, really no problems at all. The breakfast is fantastic! -- several...

This is a terrible experience, this is not even a hotel but only few rooms in a small building, the rooms are dirty and the toilets are smelly, no housekeepers, and very poor breakfast. The most disappointing thing is when I told the manager that this place looks totally different than in the pics, he smiled and said I know...

We arrived to Istanbul with no reservation, so after a quick search on the internet we choose this hotel because of it´s location. We went in, asked the receptionist about the availability. He said they have a free room. I saw the prices, but the guy gave me a huge discount without even a negotiation... A very cheap price per...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
