Disappointed by what appears to be a modern hotel that falls short of expectation. While the roof deck, lobby and room is nice, and the staff tries to be friendly; it fell short when it came to things like: 1. Asked about a hot jacuzzi then finding out it is only a very cold jacuzzi. 2. A room that smelled... More

Dear our valued guest, Even we, all staff have tried everything to make you happy during your stay at our hotel but we could not make it. Let us big apologize! Maybe just because it is really hard sometimes to make happy some kind of persons all around the world and you might be one of those? All the best.... More

Room is very clean, staffs are friendly, good breakfast with a spectacular view from the roof bar, very affordable price for a 4 star hotel. Location is very close to tourists spots with access to trams and buses. The only negative point is that the bathroom is a little bit dark with lack of lighting.

After a 30 minute taxi ride (organised by the hotel for 25 Euro) battling the Istanbul traffic, we pulled off down some side streets to be dropped off at the small frontage of Darkhill. The front is nothing to comment on other than a VERY steep access ramp next to the steps which was somewhat challenging with a suitcase so... More

Wife and I stayed here for 2 nights. It was an enjoyable stay. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean. Bed was comfortable. No street noise was noticeable. Sleeping was okay. Although there was a slight problem with the air conditioning/heating controls; the heat would not turn off, so the room was a bit too warm at times. Sink, toilet... More

the Darkhill has a great staff, very nice and comfortable rooms, a little noise but not a problem. The addition of the spa/pool/turkish bath is nice and helps make this an even better value--we could really relax after walking for hours! Would be happy to stay again.

This is a few steps up from a basic hotel and rooms are quiet. Steps from Istanbul Unoveristy, tram, metro, grand bazaar and blue mosque make location very appealing. Drawbacks are slow wifi and a very standard breakfast (I was tired of it after two days). However it fit the bill and I would stay there again
