I stayed in City Center hotel last week. The location is great 3 minutes to Taksim Square, there is no noise of street inside the hotel, though. The most fascinating part of hotel is its resturant where breakfast buffet is served there. You have your breakfast with Awesome, awesome view of the city and the sea. Rooms are small, bed and bathroom...

Location is very good if we do not consider the protests and the bad attitude of police in Taksim in Istanbul, ! The hotel was renovated last winter as they have said... The staff is good and trying to help. They were great! But the owner seems like not to invest a lot to hotel. Air condition was not working...

The single room was tiny but served the purpose. The location is great ... a short walk to Taksim Square with many good restaurants close by. The wi-fi was a joke ... very unreliable. Communication with the staff was challenging as I speak no Turkish. A couple of the hotel employees did speak excellent English, a few none at all

I booked a single room at this hotel via Bookings.com. The ad did warm that the room was small and it wasn't exaggerating - the room was tiny. I felt like I was in a prison cell rather than a hotel room. The hotel is also very noisy - I wore earplugs each night. The breakfast is very poor and...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
