My husband and I stayed here for a few nights in June, the location is good just about a 10 minute walk to the Blue Mosque, the price is also good we paid about £9 per night for June. The rooms are lovely and clean, spacious and nicely decorated. We have booked to go back for 2 nights in September... More

It's really good place. You can walk around 15-20 minutes to blue mosque. I paid for 25TL/night and stay for a week. It looks like homestay because 1 floor is just 3 rooms, and there was just 3 floors with the restaurant at the rooftop (anyway the 25TL not include the breakfast). The room is clean with the big window... More

Hotel is clean, room is nice, blue mosque is 5 minutes walking, that means all the touristic area is pretty close. Old town streets are romantic, nearby theres a lot of local small restaurantants, these give much better foods than the fancy types! Definitemy worth its price, the staff of hotel is very helpful! Overall a very good choice!

Nice, clean, comfortable room. Sheets and towels were changed everyday as demanded. The room includes; TV, WiFi. What makes it even better is that it's close to the Old City of Istanbul (the AyaSofia and Sultanahmet area..). The only thing we didn't like was the poor breakfast. But the man was too nice that he brought us extra white cheese... More

Overall an acceptable hotel taking into account the price however the hotel has a few downsides: * The building is very small and so are the rooms. The lobby is pretty much not existing and there is no elevator. * The breakfast room is on the 5th floor and you have to take the stairs up. * The staff does... More

We stayed for 3 nights and we made an extension of 2 more nights in this hotel, because the staff is good, the breakfast is also good and the wifi connection is reliable. At least, wifi was good until the 3rd day. During the afternoon, the power got off and so the wifi. In the block, only we stayed with... More

I have seen many bad hotels in my life but never something like that. We are a young couple used to travel in a very spartan way. We slept in this "Hotel" ( Sorry...but it is very difficult to call it Hotel...) for 4 nights. You know the basement of Harry Potter? Here it is. First of all, the room... More

Magnificient only in name but not in fact. Me and my boyfriend stayed there for four nights, the only good thing about the hotel is its location in the district of Sulthanamet and its position, really close to the main attractions of Istanbul. The breakfast is bad, the basement room was very dark and the people from the street can... More

The location of the hotel was good in walking distance of 10 minutes, but up to the hill where there are the most attractive and interesting historical monuments like Sophia and others. Hotel rooms are nice and clean according our expectations, their category and reasonable price. As it is in the very center of the city, the traffic is busy... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
