We enjoyed our stay in this small and charming hotel on a real neighborhood block that reminded me of our New York City's West Village. It was only a few short stops on the above ground subway (trolly?) to the major tourist area and the neighborhood had the best restaurants, shops and wine bars. It was also an easy walk... More

From the outside you would never guess that this luxurious hotel is inside. Amazing design. Friendly staff. I have been to Istanbul many times and this is my favorite place and a fun neighborhood. A fun plus: they own a nearby restaurant so room service is fantastic.

Walk up 1800's apt. Bld. Turned into cool hotel! Breakfast area was pretty neat, as well as the breakfast itself. French alley a short walk from hotel is very nice, just turn right as you walk out front door, about a block. Istanbul is known as the city of seven hills for good reason. We Walked Everywhere And Found It... More

We arrived in the Middle of the Night (must have been 3am) and the manager was awake at the front desk waiting for us and allowed us to get into our room right away even though our stay wasn't for the night before, it was just starting the upcoming night. We were so thankful for the warm welcome after traveling... More

This hotel was absolutely terrific! I traveled to Istanbul alone and stayed here for 4 days in a very unique 1st floor boutique room. I felt absolutely safe even while walking around the area at night. I was the only guest on one of the days I stayed here and felt like VIP with how much consideration and amenities they... More

We booked this hotel at the last minute via Hotel Tonight and were extremely pleased with the results. This is a tiny, boutique hotel on a hill side in one of the coolest neighborhoods in Istanbul. Cool lighting fixtures, a comfortable bed, and a funny little glass shower that looks like a pneumatic tube out of Doctor Who. We only... More

My husband and I stayed for a weekend before the start of tourist season. Warm and helpful welcome, informed staff, chic rooms, excellent location. An easy walk to the shops of Istiklal, or down the hill to the Bosphorus and tram service. Beautiful rooms, and breakfast served in a rooftop lounge with great views. We stayed in a front-facing room,... More

Let me say we have had a short stay at this hotel previously a few years prior in the summer. Everything about this hotel for us was perfect, all the staff, rooms, rooftop breakfast lounge/bar and the use of the amenities at the Vault House location also. We did consider their other locations but decided that we prefer the smaller... More

What drew me to this hotel was its architecture, room setup, and location. Room In a character building, all the floors are high and room feels spacious as a result. There's a separate area for "living room" and "bedroom". Standup shower is beside the bed, with slotted wood floor - nice touch. Bathroom is decked out in marbles. Both areas... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
