I can't begin to say how amazing the service at this hotel is! I left my bracelet there and it took their staff more than a month but they got me this back in Toronto. I can't begin to acknowledge how amazing their service is! I recommend this place to everyone !

U visited Istanbul in December 2016 with my family and we stayed in the Senatus hotel. I just loved everything about the place, it was family friendly, it was near Hagia Sofia, Topkapi palace and the Grand Bazar, the hotel staff was wonderful and very, very nice. They entertained my small daughter (2), even though she is very hard to...

This is perfectly located for the blue mosque, Hagia Sofia, cistern and other attractions in the old city. The staff are friendly, rooms a good size and the price excellent for the vicinity to the bars and tourist sights I would recommend if you're looking for a place to stay in Istanbul - it even has a metro stop 5...

I must start this review with a short back story. We booked a non-refundable room at Senatus Hotel several months ago. A few weeks before our trip the US State Department issued a travel advisory advising US citizens not to go to Istanbul. Based on that advisory we attempted to cancel our reservation. The staff at Senatus were extremely accommodating,...

This was the most hospitable staff I have ever encountered in a hotel. They were so friendly and accommodating to all my needs. They helped me set up tours to get the most out of my experience in Istanbul and were ready to help with anything I needed. I must mention the name of Mustafa and Ismail, who among others...

The location is very good. Breakfast was always sumptuous & fresh despite the low hotel occupancy. Staff were helpful, smiling & welcoming. Minor points that need to be improved are; - A foul smell comes from the toilets (maybe related to drain venting), even with the exhaust fan running. - Another is "coffee", the served coffee(s) were sub-standard (I doubt...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
