Nice, helpful and friendly people. Good breakfast. Cozy hotel. Great location. You can easily walk to the Great Bazaar and The Blue Mosque. Great restaurants just outside the door. All over we had a fantastic time in wonderful Istanbul.

Choose this hotel because of it's location and because they offered two single beds in the rooms. I was travelling with a friend and we did not want to share a bed. The room had AC and included breakfast buffet. They have a roof top patio with great views of the Blue Mosque and the Aya Sofia. They also have... More

I was bumped up to the sea view room, and it was excellent. Clean. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Food was plenty. Location, excellent. Terrace was dark at night but the view of the Blue Mosque and the calming winds made up for it.

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights and had the sea view with baloney. I would strongly recommend this hotel as the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the location is great and you can walk everywhere. The breakfast was delicious, we took a tray and ate on the roof terrace every morning and loved the view of the... More

Somehow, I found this gem of a Botique hotel in a great location near the sights of the old City! The hotel exceeded my expectations by being modern, spic and span and friendly with a great staff! A delicious breakfast is included and many estaurants aré located no the next street! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting... More

Very nice situation for the hôtel, just off tourist sites and the Blue Mosque... Very quiet for a good night of sleeping after a long trip in this big town...The rooms are spacious and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast was quite unhealthy though. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a short break in Istanbul

My wife and I stayed in the Saba Sultan for 3 nights in mid-August - very happy with our choice. An old-fashioned looking little place with really nice and helpful staff. Our sea-view room was clean, comfortable and had everything we wanted i.e. a nice bed (and pillows), decent bathroom, blackout curtains and a safe. And surprisingly, given the hotel's... More

The location of the hotel was convenient to Sultanahmet district. We could just walk to Blue mosque. The rooms are spacious and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast was quite unhealthy though. It wasn't helpful to have a fridge in the room because as soon as we would leave the room, the power supply to the fridge was turned... More

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt this was a great hotel set in a very convenient location for exploring Istanbul. The staff are all wonderful and extremely helpful. Our room was at the top of the hotel and had views over roof tops towards the Marmaris Sea. Breakfast was excellent too! Will certainly stay... More

I spent 2 nights at Saba Sultan in May 2016. The staff was very friendly and supportive, thus making my time spent here more pleasant. The hotel is located within walking distance from main tourist attractions (Topkapi, Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, bazars etc). There are plenty of restaurants and terraces in the immediate vicinity where you can enjoy traditional Turkish... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
