A bit weird being in a hotel during a military coup, but the staff rose to the occasion on what was a very trying time for them (and for us). The hotel is perfectly situated near most of the tourist sites, indeed walkable to virtually all of them. But more importantly, the staff is over-the-top friendly, knowledgable, helpful, and fluent... More

Well we arrived with a feel of unease, first time in Istanbul and people kept saying are you sure and is it safe with the coup. Well as soon as they opened the front door to greet us and grab our bags the staff have been amazing friendly and couldn't do anything more to help and advise us, first with... More

The staff and facilities in this hotel are first class. From the time we arrived Fatih and the rest of the staff made us feel welcome and provided very useful advice on places to visit in Istanbul. We stayed in a deluxe room with a balcony and breakfast included. Transfers to and from the airport were also included. We found... More

The staff here are absolutely nice and respectful. We received an upgraded deluxe room with a balcony and complimentary breakfast, which btw is fantastic. It's sad that tourism is not doing well in Istanbul nowadays because this hotel offers lots of comfort, safety and luxury to international visitors.

Beautiful, amazing hotel within walking distance to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia etc. Staff were absolutely amazing; Emre, Ufuk and the beautiful lady at reception were always eager to help; pointing out best places to visit and shop. Other staff at the hotel were equally great, from the men greeting you at the door to the staff at the restaurant.... More

Fantastic hotel with fabulous staff who provided excellent service throughout our stay. We arrived at 3:00am and staff were ready and waiting to take our bags to our rooms. One of the highlights is the roof-top terrace, which is open 24 hours a day and was a great place to enjoy an afternoon drink and dinner. The rooms are excellent,... More

Large comfortable, well appointed room with a great view of the old city. The staff were absolutely outstanding. Ever friendly, obliging and extremely helpful. The daily afternoon tea was amazing. It featured a huge variety of choices including Turkish Delights, coffee, tea etc. I would stay no where else in Istanbul.

It's a gorgeous boutique hotel where the staff greets you from the start to the end! Super helpful told us where to go, what to avoid, invited us to enjoy the afternoon tea and always there to help. The hotel has a lovely terrace with a big screen and comfy sofas and nice view. The breakfast buffet was very good.... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
