I wish there was a way to give more stars. The staff at this hotel is fantastic. They go above and beyond, even helping me get pizza delivered for my tired, jet-lagged 8-year-old. We felt so well looked after, especially by Sam at the front desk.
The staff went above and beyond, from arrival with cold refreshment and beverages, to departure, securing a cab at 4am. They also accommodated our request to have multiple beds in the room (most other hotels could not) The rooms were very clean with all the usual amenities and features. the LOCATION is amazing: close to the Bosphorus shore, 5 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque, and 7mn from the Hagia Sophia. And finally the rooftop terrace with its breathtaking view of the Bosphorus, and its mesmerizing sunsets.
We stayed there for 5 days 15th-20th July and I doubt there is a better hotel in the same area for the same price. Great location only 10 minutes walk from the Sultanahmet area with all the main sights. The staff were so friendly, helpful (and funny!). Particularly Zafer, Rohat and Sam (hope I spelled those correctly-if not they know who they are!). De luxe room was big and very comfortable, and included a bath (which is rare these days). Roof top bar very nice with great views! Breakfast was also excellent. We would go back there for sure if we are ever in Istanbul again!
Staff is exceptional. Location is amazing. Hotel itself is immaculate. Walking distance to all of the old city. Also close to the metro Breakfast buffet and roof top restaurant has an amazing assortment of food Just book your trip here. Thank you for an amazing stay
We disembarked from our cruise ship and had some time to kill in Istanbul before our flight. My mother had previously stayed here, and my aunt has stayed here twice. My mother wanted to show me the hotel. We arrived at the hotel and were shown to the rooftop garden and offered food, coffee and water even though we had no reservations for accommodation. The generous welcome offered by the staff made this hotel the only hotel at which I would stay on my next trip to Istanbul.
This hotel is a gem and I highly recommend it. The welcome is warm, the rooms comfortable and clean and the staff is helpful. Located within walking distance of the major sights with a fabulous rooftop bar with breathtaking views over the minarets and Bosphorus. Don't forget the breakfast too! Traditional Turkish breakfast... I would love to go back.
It was walking distance to all the key sights. Rooftop views are awesome. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. Excellent breakfast. Don't forget to get the fresh Turkish flat breads from the other room. We hope to go again.
First of, hats off to the receptions staff for being so accommodating during our stay. They were excellent at giving us directions and tips to make the most of the city. Second, the daily included breakfast was great for both a quick or a filling bite. The rooms were well maintained, clean with all needed amenities but were a bit dated. Finally the location was great for ease of access to nearby venues.
We stayed at the Hotel Amira for seven nights in June 2022. It was my first trip to Istanbul and wanted to be in the heart of the Old City to see the sights. I thought the staff at the hotel was exceptional and the I have fond memories of the amazing breakfasts at the hotel every morning. The room itself was nice (and thankfully the air conditioning was very good considering the oppressive heat outside!) though I do wish that I had booked a deluxe room instead of the standard for a bit more room. The hotel is in a very convenient location to visit Aya Sofia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, etc. and we found a lot of places near the hotel to eat and visit. We also had rented a car to visit family and somehow managed to find parking outside on the street at the hotel. We loved our stay here and spent a few nights on the European side at a different hotel that didnʻt have the same warmth and welcome at the Amira. Would highly recommend for any traveler.…
Wonderful stay at the Hotel Amira!!! We loved the location, room and amenities. The hotel staff was awesome- friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast served every morning and the dinner we had at their rooftop terrace. Hotel Amira was our favorite hotel in Turkey compared to the hotels we stayed at in Antalya and Cappadocia. Thank you Erkan, Volkan, Rohat and Ali and to the rest of the hotel staff!! We sure will miss Hotel Amira!!
