Very friendly staff and great views of the rooftops and the sea of Marmara. Excellent breakfast buffet and garden terrace. 5 minutes walk from tramway and 10 minutes walk from the Sultan Ahmet Square with some of the main sights. Set in the old narrow...More
I stayed at this hotel for about 8 days this month. Let's get to the pros: the hotel is nicely located, reasonably priced, good breakfast and very helpful staff. They had a nice terrace on the top where you could enjoy your evenings or have...More
Probably the closest we will get to experiencing famous Turkish hospitality. This is newly acquired family owned hotel. And much of our enjoyment of Istanbul is credited to Omar, who was amazing! We had the Sea View with a nice balcony. This hotel is very...More
Cheaper than other hotels and awesome location close to the Hippodrome, but that's pretty much it. I stayed in two different rooms and they were both noisy and filthy. Obviously housekeeping staff doesn't care too much about customers. Wi-fi signal was quite weak.

With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to
retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
