The location is great, near to the main attractions in Istanbul but not in the crowded part so it is quiet. It is also easily accessible to the airport using public transport. Room is clean and tidy but a little small. Good for solo traveller and value for money.

Good hotel in the heart of the city, 3 minutes walk from the Gulhane station. Nearby there are many shops, cafes and restaurants. Wi-fi throughout the territory, never had problems with communication. Shower rooms and toilets in sufficient quantity - clean, with good plumbing and hot water. Bed linen, towels and mattresses in perfect condition - it's comfortable to use...

On my trip to Istanbul last July (Jul 3 - 9), I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights (Jul 6 - 9). For such cheap price, I could get double bed room with shared shower room. The bedroom and shower room was really nice, clean and neat. Strong free wifi. The location is unbeatable, literally across the Topkapi Palace....

Simple place just to sleep in at the end of the day. Close to the main sights, which makes it amazing. We also appreciated the fact that they offered an airport shuttle for a reasonable price. Recommend for, like I said, a place to crash at the end of the day.

It was 2nd time I stayed at Erenler Hostel. Perfect location to touristic places and sights, you can walk to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia within 7-10 minutes, beautiful Gulhane park and Topkapi palace is also near by. Rooms are small but that's fine. If you wish for more quiet room - ask a room with windows to backyard (I think...

Also called Hostel Erenler. It is not. They have only 1 multiperson, shared room. It is definitely a hotel worth considering. I booked a $21 U.S. room with shared bath. I got a nice room with bath for the same price, air con included. Close to tram stop. Easy walk to most important sites. Salih will answer all your questions...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
