Things that i liked: -The amazing view from the terrace -The kindness of the staff -The location of the hotel near all the great monuments of Istanbul Things that absolutely annoyed me: -The hotel has 5 floors with no elevator -The pictures on Booking aren't real (especially the terrace that only has plastic chairs and tables, and the restaurant/bar that... Stayed here a few nights when we first landed in Istanbul. Note there are two buildings. We stayed at the newer one on the top floor about a 5 min walk from other building. Windows that open and facing the ocean and Blue Mosque off in distance. Nice, new, clean with great balcony on the roof. They treated our 5... More

This hotel is awful. Firstly the wont acknowledge the booking then qoute a higher price. Once payment is made they take you to a further away building which is dark, gloomy, amongst noisey shoe work shops and the room! My god awful! Room smelt like cow waste and toilet has no lock and is all frosted glass separation - others... More

This is not a very expensive hotel, nor should it be. We were four friends visiting Istanbul together. For this purpose there was nothing wrong with the room. The room itself smelled a bit and was very damp, but you could not keep the windows open unless you were in the room yourself. You had to be on the lookout... More

When I came to the hotel at the late evening on March 7th, the manager said that there is no free rooms in that hotel (regardless of the confirmation 3 month before), but he will provide a room in another hotel nearby. What we've seen there was just an awful room without any heating, hot water and even without clean... More

I went to Istanbul with my family-my husband and daughter. I cannot express through what nightmare we had to go. The room has nothing to do with the photos you have here. It smelled badly, very high humidity. The bathroom - a total disaster. There was dirt everywhere. In the bed i found hair. The floor was not clean as... More

Hi, This was my first hotel during my tour along the Silk road, but this was a hotel where there was no hook for towels, no chairs and only one lamp in the celing. It was also difficult to close the door because the floor raised after we had used the shower.

Horrible management, incompetent staff, dirty rooms, broken toilet, dirty laundry, terrible breakfast and the intolerance of the guests. As far as Istanbul was perfect, so do not want to go back to the hotel in the evening.

The only positive about this place is its outstanding location. Women must avoid it regardless. The owner of this place Ahmad initially appeared to be quite friendly. There were some initial hiccups which were addressed after I took a strong stance. Specifically, the hotel advertises the availability of Wi-Fi connection in the rooms. I was given a room at the... Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
