I would like to recommend this hotel for families, couples and backpacking people in general that don't like too much noisy hostels. Nice terrace with nice view, big tv with movies and guides available. Rooms with new furniture. Staff so kind, rare to see!! Especially in low price hotels.. I certainlly recommend 100% :)

Very friendly, helpful staff. Spotless, comfortable rooms. Less than 5 minutes walk to the Blue Mosque. Good restaurants round the corner. Beautiful views from the rooftop terrace. Breakfast great. Everything you need for a short break. Free use of laptops, free WiFi if you have your own and guide books to borrow. A good selection of DVDs to watch on...

I really felt like being at home when I was staying in Agora Guesthouse. Friendly receptionist, who really care for us and being patient with us, boiled water and ordered pizza for us on the first night. Welcomed us and sent us off on the main door, truly feel like a brother greeting us. I was much impressed by little...

This is a hostel where the rooms feel like hotel standard, but the personable service and common room/terrace on the roof make it feel like the best sort of backpackers place. I arrived in the evening, travelling on my own and passing through Istanbul. I checked into a single room with a bathroom en suite. The bedroom and bathroom were...

I stayed at the Agora hostel/guesthouse for three nights. My sister and I stayed in an ensuite but the hostel part looked nice too. The room was small but had a large comfortable bed, clean linens, flatscreen tv, big windows and the washroom was amazing. It was clean and safe and I would definitely stay here again. They had dvds...

We were there for a few days and we noticed the first day people are warm and forthcoming but we hadn't even suspected how much. By day 3-4 we were like at home and amongst friends. They even went far beyond their duties when we needed it and unfortunately, we did need some extra help due to car trouble. So...

Stayed here our first night when my first choice, the Osmanhan was full. There is some sort of connection between the hotels - possibly the same owner and they are about 30 metres apart. The staff were welcoming, the double room although on the road, was quiet and very clean, with a newly renovated bathroom. I was a littel worried...

The service of the hotel is what I liked the most. We were traveling in a large group of friends, 27 of us, and from the moment we came in the hotel to the moment we checked out and left we were AT HOME. At least, that's how it fealt. On top of the home like atmosphere, the third day...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
