We stayed here (6 nights) by chance because another hotel lost our booking. Lucky for us because its location just can't be beaten and the hotel's service was excellent. Basically, all the main attractions are dotted around the hotel in a circle, making walking an absolute pleasure to get to all of them. You can stroll North to the Galata bridge... More

I stayed only 1 night. My room faced the street - the tram station - so it was very noisy. The room & bathroom was average. Location is close to all major sites. Lots of restaurants & shops in the area, The staff were friendly though. Having walking alot around Istanbul - I would next time choose a smaller hotel... More

I stayed at the Constantine for 3 nights. Location is brilliant as the hotel is within walking distance to the topkapi palace, basilica cistern, aya sofia, blue mosque, grand and spice bazaars. Nice little places for borek and baklava are just around the corner and some souvenir shops. A massive plus for this hotel is the gullhane tram stop is... More

Great value and location in this 3 star hotel with outstanding service by the manager and his team, particularly Oktay. They really look after you here. Back rooms are less noisy. Walking distance to all the major attractions.

Having never been to Istanbul before I wasn't really clued up on where to stay but stumbled across the Hotel Constantine on an internet search. I was very pleased to find out just how close it was to several of the main sights (Topkapi Palace - it is literally right across the road! Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cisterns, Grand... This hotel is centrally located in the old town. Walk to the underground Cistern, restaurants, museums and Hagia Sofia. It is also an easy walk down to the Bosphorous to catch a river cruise or eat at the seafood restaurants under the bridge. Rooms clean. Breakfast was very good.

We stayed in a relatively big sized room, actually we had an extra bed that we used for dining, beside the nice chairs. In general the hotel was good compared to how much we paid. What was remarkable about our stay is the staff, very helpful and really friendly and we did highly appreciate thier recommendations and assistance as we... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
