A beautiful hotel at a very reasonable price
Breakfast is included and is very good for the price
Eggs and breads are absolutely delicious
24 hours front desk service and Beautiful heated pool with an amazing view of a mosque infront. Had to pay $10 for sauna, hamam and steam room but was absolutely worth the money. The hamam is very beautiful and the day I went no one else was there so was very peaceful and private and was open for 4 hours and just for $10 it’s absolutely worth to experience Atleast once.
The location is close to grand bazaar and a lot of shops all around the area.
Although some staff need to smile a little bit some staffs are amazing.
My favorite and most lovely gursur (housekeeping) greets us morning every day and always has the most warm and beautiful smile. Although she cannot speak English she will definitely make you happy by her smile 💕
Definitely a staff every guest should meet.
Mehmet (front desk) was the first person to welcome and always greets us with a smile.
Hakan (breakfast), gazia, yunus (front desk) hayaretin(came to fix our heater) are also some staff who has been super helpful in our visit.

We were warmly welcomed by the staff, taken to our room (small but functional) and everything was explained well. This was a corner room with a lovely sunset view, firm but comfortable bed as well as a coffee station and small fridge.

The room was a tad dated, but clean. The breakfast selection was large with many interesting items. It was our first time in Turkey and we loved the strange (for us) choices at breakfast. The pancakes every morning were my ultimate favourite.

The hotel is 5 min walk from the Metro and 3 min walk to the nearest tram stop, which was very convenient. It's just off the main tourist area, with lots of interesting local restaurants nearby as well as a restaurant with a fantastic rooftop bar for watching the sunset.

The wifi was good throughout and overall we enjoyed our stay. We did not try the pool and were out mostly, so for our needs (sleep, shower, coffee) we would choose this hotel again.

What a great hotel. The reception and porter welcomed us with a big smile upon arrival. Easy checkin process with everything you need to know on a welcome letter as well. Room had a street view, that was great. Even though the hotel is on a corner you can barely hear the street noise and calling of the nearby Mosque. Ample tv channels when you get back from a busy day of sight seeing and coffee and tea facilities is an additional bonus. Breakfast in the morning is amazing! A wide variety of traditional Turkish cuisine setup in buffet style. Daily housekeeping also included in your stay, they even replenish the shower amenities daily, fresh towels and linen as well. (I am a hotel manager as well and always go in with high expectations when travelling) I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel and the services they offered. They have spa services (massage and Turkish bath) that is 10 dollars per use. A rooftop pool with a view that takes your breath away. The pool area is free, be sure to take a relaxing day there aswell and take in the view. I will highly recommend this hotel and will certainly be back if in Istanbul again.

The picture are completely different than the reality
The hotel didn't mention that the reception is on the first floor and you have to use a tiny staircase to reach it , ( no lift at the ground flour) .
The room was very very small , as we requested a double bed , we got the tiniest room( single room) fitted by a double bed , no space for the luggage and no space to move , it was warm and noisy.
Also they didn't mention that the SPA/sauna/steam room/hammam are not included, you have to pay 10$ per person per use .
The breakfast wasn't fresh (most of it was the leftover from the previous days )
The cleaning was every 2nd day , we didn't request any cleaning until the 4th day ( the 4th day we took off don't disturb sign) , and the cleaning was done but the surprise was : nothing has been done in the room linens/ bed sheets haven't been changed/ bins full / no toilet roll / the floor was dusted they didn't touch anything, they took the dirty towels and they put the fresh one that's all .
The one in the reception was very rude ,
Except YUNUS was helpful
Definitely it is not a four Stars

Hello,

Myself Priyank Upadhyaya + my wife checked into your Istanbul hotel in the afternoon of 20 Nov 2022. The room was very very small and there was hardly any space for 2 people to move around as well. Something very different to the room pics uploaded on your company website. Very shocking and surprising.

An hour later of my checkin I found the AC was not cooling so I called the hotel reception and enquired about the same. I was told that there was a technical error in the function of all hotel ACs due to which all ACs are only functioning as heaters. Further to that I informed that twice thereafter that the room is getting extremely hot which is getting very difficult for me and my wife.

I was clearly told by the reception person that "nothing can be done about this issue and the only option was to keep the room windows open for cooling".I tried opening the window however due to traffic and shops open, there was a lot of noise due to which we were unable to sleep at all.

I called the reception two more time thereafter and requested them to look into the issue. Again the response was "no other option available and you have to live with what you have".

Zero level of customer service and empathy with no intention to even listen to me and offer some solution. This was so disappointing and frustrating for a someone like us new to Turkey and Istanbul. Hence I was left with no other option but to change the hotel last minute.

The bigger shock and surprise came at the time of checking out from your hotel in the night. The person at the reception did not even offer any alternative or say sorry about me leaving due to a issue which the hote was unable to solve. He just took the key and let me leave without saying anything. This is the height of very poor and totally bad customer service which I did not expect in a world class city like Istanbul.

Hence I would like my travel manager Ms Nihira Sawant from Cover the World to get 100% refund of such poor service from your end and also the upcoming booking for 26 Nov 2022 stands cancelled with refund. Under no circumstances I will checkin your hotel again.

It is absolutely not a 4 star but not even 3. Tiny room even with a double bed it was hard to move, window that did not close well (so drafts and noises like being in the street), broken shower (splashed water everywhere), toilet tablet that came down by itself. Room completely without soundproofing (you can hear anything, in the morning from 8am the cleaning women was like having them in the room).
Bad breakfast practically all salty and of dubious quality. Disappointment

We were really disappointed when, after a long journey discovering istanbul, we want to go to sleep at the hotel. But, how disgusted we were, when we remove the bed cover and guess what? We found that the bed sheets had been used by someone else. It was not clean at all, so much hair on the sheets...
On top of that, the room had a very bad smell from the toilet.

Not a good experience, 4 ladies on this trip.
We did not feel welcome.
The rooms were worn, VERY small, the staff didn't show how to smile.
Pool area old dream beds loose were collapsing.
We were looked down upon and it was not cool. Whether it was our hair color or we are women is unknown. (We used the hotel opposite. There was a hamam, lovely bar food and smiling staff.)

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Hotel Zagreb.

Excellent location, very clean and friendly staff.
Very good value for money.
On the negative side the room is a little bit small.

Contact the hotel and they can arrange a pick up for you. 50 lira fee is not much and you then won't have to find your way on your own. I went back to Ataturk airport from Zagreb hotel in the taxi that they organised, as a lady on my own I felt safer that way.

Hi ... We booked the shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel - and thank goodness ... our flight was delayed by hours which meant we would have missed the last metro. Didn't fancy getting into an unknown taxi at that time in the morning either. Driver was great - he linked up with the hotel so that he was there to collect us complete with name board. On the way back home we booked a taxi through the hotel reception. We didn't use the metro or taxis in town at all ... got very cheap tickets for the red bus tour (21 year old daughter was allowed on at child rates!!) which took us around Istanbul. We took a boat trip up the river another day and then walked the rest of our trip ... much more fun :-)
