I stayed in this Hostel from 13 to 16 of April 2017 as an occasion for a seminar that I should join. I needed tranquillity and steadiness for my rest every night after the seminar and that what World House Istanbul gave me. I stay single private room #1 and #5. Room number one is very still and minimal that...

I stayed here with two mates in a 4 bed dorm. It was pretty ropey - threadbare bedding and towels, dusty etc. The shared bathroom was in the top 3 most miserable rooms I've been into in my life. There was a pubic hair on the toilet cistern which was there when we arrived, there when we left 2 days...

I have been a guest at World House Hostel for the last three days: the location is extremely convenient and the staff always very friendly and available (I even made a mistake in the booking, reserving for another month at higher rate, and they told me and charged me less: very honest). Good breakfast, included. Small improvements to be made:...

This hostel is located in a perfect location with quick access to all major sights. Just a block away from the historical and impressive Galata Tower, steps from shops, cafes and restaurants, and easy travel to mosques and other architectural wonders. Our room was small, but clean and comfortable for budget travelers and hostel seekers. Staff was quick to respond...

The BEST hostel in Istanbul. I stayed in 5 different ones and this was by far the best: AWESOME location across the street from Galata Tower ( and surrounded by tasty and cheap restaurants and coffee shops, easy walk to sultanahmet and taksim), easy to meet other travelers, really clean, super comfy beds, big rooms, free towels, 6 TL laundry...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
