The BEST hostel in Istanbul. I stayed in 5 different ones and this was by far the best: AWESOME location across the street from Galata Tower ( and surrounded by tasty and cheap restaurants and coffee shops, easy walk to sultanahmet and taksim), easy to meet other travelers, really clean, super comfy beds, big rooms, free towels, 6 TL laundry... A great experience! I stayed there several times and I highly recommend this place! The staff is very gentle, friendly and helpful with about everything you might ask them. Free wi-fi everywhere and a great breakfast from their lovely cook. The rooms are very clean and you always meet interesting people. Very close to Galata Tower and if you love... More

As long as you don't mind steep, cobbled hills, you should probably stay here. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, the atmosphere is excellent for both meeting like-minded travellers or some solo chilling. Breakfast is excellent (bread, fruit, cheese, jams, olives, vegetables, hard boiled eggs), and there's a great cafe with patio attached. I stayed in the 6 dorm.... More

We had an amazing stay at World House, the staff were so helpful and really helped advise us on how we should spend our 4 days in this huge and beautiful city. We loved our room which felt much more like a hotel than a hostel, but yet it was also great to sit in the lounge and chill out,... More

I had the best experience with the people and location of this hostel. I'm sure it has the best view of Istambul. In World House you not only find a place to stay, but a place to share and make new friends. I definitely will recommend it. Thank you!

I love this hostel. Every time I visit Istanbul I go back and all the staff are friendly and welcoming. It's in a fantastic central location and there's a grey cafe out front where you can sit and watch everyone wander by. It's also very social and there's always people to meet and do things with. I definitely recommend staying... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in a sea view double shared bathroom for 4 nights in June. Our room was in a separate building down the street on the top floor. The building itself looked quite old and run-down and there was no lift so negotiating 7 flights of stairs with luggage was tough. But once we arrived at the... More

The hosts of this hostel are amazing. They ensure a good stay for all their guests and are very accommodating for most reasonable requests. The atmosphere in the hostel is great. Breakfast is alright. Had lunch there once and it was delicious! Clean beds, toilets, bathrooms etc. Pub crawling is organised by the host every week atleast 2 times. Overall,... More

The guys here really take care of you. When I was here I met some really incredible people. Beds are clean and comfortable, staff is amazing, location is great, the coffee shop in the Hostel is the most famous in Beyoglu. Couldn't have been a better experience.

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
