I was a part of a theatrical touring company and this was where we stayed long term in Istanbul. The week we arrived, there was a blizzard and our shows were canceled and the power was out. Our company was not prepared for snowy weather at all. One of the housekeeping staff KNIT ME A HAT because she was worried about me!! I love the coziness and charm and character of this place so much. I hope I will stay here again some day.
first of all i have different exp in this well centered hotel, on the way to hotel after been picked up in hotel i dropped my phone, what a way to start a vacation, but when i arrived to hotel all staff were concerned and helpful and immediately Me Oscar made phone calls to track mine and hopefully i got it second day, the whole point of the story is that they treat you as u r family, they are helpful supportive, cheerful, well centered affordable hotel, special thanks to you all again...hope to see you all soon, 😁😁😁
This hotel is in a great central location and for the price you cannot complain. The rooms aren’t as fancy as other places you can get in the city and the decor is a little bit basic. However, the location is great and owner and other staff are incredibly friendly. If you aren’t looking for luxury but a comfortable cheap option in Istanbul head here
We were made very welcome by our kind host Actoy, who was always helpful and present. Our room was small, but very comfortable, with good beds and nice linen. The towels were fluffy and cosy. There was a TV, an air conditioner that worked well, and a hairdryer in the bathroom. The bathroom was tiny, but had everything you could need. There was plenty of hot water, which flowed almost immediately. From the hotel it was possible to walk to most of the sights in the Old City. We used the tram extensively to save our feet, and that was just up the road, about 5 minutes walk away. Oktay had IstanbulKarts for public transport available. There were also lots of pleasant, reasonably priced, restaurants in the area. The Turkish breakfasts were all you needed to set you up for the day. I appreciated that tea, coffee and hot chocolate was available all day.…
I went a couple of year ago, and really enjoyed this hotel however i went back few weeks go only to realise that its been taken over my new management... the lovely terrace view which this hotel use to have has been completely smashed down and it just didnt feel the same as the first time. Room was pretty small which was no problem at all as we werent planning on staying home much at all anyway. ( I think the family rooms are much more comfortable sized compared to the single and double rooms). The new owner was just as nice as the old one and was very quick to help us with anything we needed. Breakfast was also always nice and prompt with tea and coffee available all day. The location is very close to the the centre which was the main reason i chose this hotel. The only problem i faced was that there none or very little ventilation in the room/bathroom. The water would stand still after every shower and got a bit uncomfortable to use the toilet as it was very wet on the floor. I used to turn the AC on before i left the room and leave the bathroom door open all but still didnt work.. maybe this was just a problem with our room? or new management? as didnt have this the first time we visited. ALSO on booking.com it states a load of things the hotel offers which is not true as it said there were good views and a flat screen tv....but we didnt have ANY views (maybe another building about 10 cm away? and an old box tv which i couldnt work) I guess its good for the price you pay though if youre just looking for a place to sleep at at night...…
