The hotel was good but it is NOT a 4 stars hotel, definitely. Location is great and it has a nice restaurant upstairs. Our room were large but not cozy... Breakfast was good but fruits were not fresh.

The hotel is in the old part of Istanbul, hidden among lots of restaurants. My room had a double bed and one single bed. Breakfast was buffet style and the food was good. The hotel is in walking distance from the Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Saltanahmet Mosque (Blue Mosque). Staff are friendly and helpful. The other guests across the hall...

Good choice of hotel for Istanbul as the surrounding neighborhood and proximity to important landmarks are really great. The cobblestoned street the hotel is on is charming and lined by shops and restaurants. Easy walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. A top floor room facing the street is ideal. Room is ok, clean and with decent amount of...

We stayed at Byzantium hotel for 5 days we had good time there .the best thing about the hotel was its location cuz it was just so close to everything ,surrounded by cafes and restaurants and just a walk to the famous landmark. The Internet is not that fast .anyway if I go again, I will reserve at this hotel

Hotel is in a very good location. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast is standard buffet. we had a family room in the attic upstairs, and was a decent size. Cot was provided for baby. had to be quiet in lobby, which is a bit hard when you have children when sitting in lobby. The girl was very friendly and helpful at...

Well, I have to say it's a pretty hotel but not as good as I expected. The breakfast is amazing. The scrambled eggs were incredibly tasty. The staff was really nice and helpful. But the bedroom was to small and the closet was a joke. They said the tea was for free but after the first day we had to...

The buffet breakfast was amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly the manager (Ayatullah) and a young member of staff (Ozjon), who made great Turkish and English tea. The location was perfect; the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are both within walking distance. Overall, it was a great experience and if we were to ever visit Istanbul...

The location was excellent as it is close to the Blue mosque, the Marmara sea coast and the Hagia Sophia. There is a regular transport service through the Sultanahmet tram station from 6 am to midnight. This service connects to the airport. The accommodation was of a high quality. Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
