The 5-levels hotel is located in a very quiet area of the city, very close to the offical and renovated part. The surroundings underlines why it is called the marble city. It is 10 minutes far away from the hotel. All rooms are very nicely furbished with very comfortable beddings, French Empire style furnitures. Bathroom is up to 5-star hotels... More

Very nice lobby, nice staff and very nice manager, good rooms, free wifi, great location. Lots of rooms, no other guests when we were there. No rooms face the government buildings across the street, because you are not allowed to take pictures. Hotel is centrally located and probably the best in Ashgabat. If you have to be in this city,... More

Stayed here a number of times over the years and it is good to be able to report that standards have not slipped. Other hotels in Ashgabat may be more opulent, but the Nissa (Nusay) is the old reliable in Ashgabat. The rooms are comfortable, the front desk staff friendly and helpful and the restaurant still the same. News for... More

We are staying at the Nusay Hotel this time and it is far different than the AK-Altyn. The room is spacious. We have a view of the president’s palace. (no photographs allowed) There are government buildings all along the street. There are fountains everywhere. All of the buildings have white marble facades. Quite a lovely sight. We have a corner... Nissa, or Nussai, hotel in Ashgabad is a friendly place. It is centrally located and has a good restaurant, nice pool and a very small gym (2 exercise machines). Internet costs USD 6 for the entire stay and only work in the room (not in public areas in the hotel). The staff is very nice and the rooms are comfortable... More

Room was fine, towels nice, free wifi but severly controlled by the government. No Facebook, Your Tube, access to .com sites including Macy or Kohl. Turkmenistan is really not tourist friendly. City is beautiful but artificial. We never saw a lot of people. We stayed three nights and saw only 3 other guests. We were assigned to a smoking room... More

We ended up at this place after trouble confirming another. It costs more but it was enjoyable. There is nothing in or on the property to say its name is Nissa, it's Nusay. My room was large and well equipped although as is often the case in flash hotels the bedside light was useless. Breakfast was excellent, the pool was... More

Hotel Nusay - A nice hotel in central Ashgabat, opposite the President's Palace (photos of which are prohibited, but it has an amazing gold coloured roof, worth seeing). Clean and comfortable and with cheap wifi, the main benefit we found was the late-opening restaurant meaning you can be very flexible on timings - they served very good food there. One... More

Excellent A/C! A welcome relief from the stifling Turkmenistan heat. The hotel was excellent if not a little sterile much like Ashgabat itself. Food was good. Rooms were large and comfortable. Just don't raise your camera in front of the hotel or you will be talking to the guards of the presidential complex!

I think it's humorous that we can review this hotel on TripAdvisor since 1) the website is blocked in Turkmenistan and 2) the hotel is owned by the government just as all the hotels in the country. The hotel's current name is Hotel Nusay (pronounced New-Sai) which is Nissa in Turkmen. Just like all the buildings in the city center,... More
