Rohat Hotel is a small hotel - perhaps bigger than it feels - in the centre of Dushanbe. The main attractions are easily walkable. The hotel is very clean and feels new. The rooms are comfortable - although my twin room was a little on the small side. The breakfast buffet is very good and happens in a wonderful spacious room with a mixture of tables and easy chairs. The staff are very helpful with advice, directions, and ordering transport. There is a pleasant area to sit downstairs and drink tea, and plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. On the other hand, Rohat Hotel is quite expensive by Central Asian standards - and the single lift is both small and slow.
Great location within easy walking distance of sights, shops and restaurants. Room was fine for a mid range place, with strong air con and good Wi-Fi. Huge buffet breakfast and friendly service. Recommended
Staff was friendly and helpful - but that is about all I can say in the positive. Breakfast is disgusting, the atmosphere is more that of a trainstation waiting room. My room was very cramped, the bathroom was minimal. Certainly not to be recommended - there are much better options available.
I stayed a couple of nights at Rohat Hotel, and was impressed by the excellence of the hotel, its staff and its location. The recently renovated hotel is in central Dushabe, across the street from Ayni Opera and Ballet Theater, and close to Rudaki Avenue. The staff was very friendly, helpful, kept the facilities immaculately clean and spoke excellent English (alas, my Tajik is deficient). My room on the 2nd floor had 2 adjacent single beds, desk, built-in closet (with an iron and fluffy bathrobes), refrigerator, hot water kettle, WiFi (sometimes slow) and flat-screen TV. The attached bathroom had a toilet, sink, tiled shower (I loved the rain shower setting), lots of hot water and thick towels. My room faced the back of the hotel, so was very quiet at night. The breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of choices: fruit juices, fresh fruit, breads, cold cereal, eggs, grilled meats, cheeses, cakes and pastries. Nearby the hotel are banks, ATMs, cafes, bakeries, restaurants, and shops along Rudaki Avenue. A supermarket with a surprisingly wide variety of food, snacks and beverages is across Okolo square from the hotel. Rudaki Park and Tajik government buildings are 1-2 km. The hotel offers excellent value for the price of the rooms.…
Great stay in a new, modern hotel. Excellent rooms and especially air condition (necessary as in July the temperature in Dushanbe is around 40°C). A special thanks to the staff in person of Mr. Firuz, who helped us out in several matters. I've rarely seen this level of helpfulness during my travels.
